Hello Guy´s,

does any of the Implantats the gunman of a citadel has plugged in ....has an effect into a citadel ?

If the answer is yes, which set would you suggest for a jump clone "only Citadel Gunman".

Regards

CCP specifically stated in one of the devblogs that the only thing that affects Citadel modules are the 4 new structure management skills. These are rank 2 and fairly quick to train. Unless you will be defending a Keepstar you won't need the doomsday skill.

Fighter skills are also important and they are rank 12. You'll at least want fighters and light fighters at level 4.

Do you read your own posts? I do, hence I edit a lot.

Fighters have nothing to do with citadel defense, unless you are in a carrier / supercarrier.

Are you sure? I thought the flights of fighters that the xl has are affected by skills? I don't have anything to back that assertion up, but it's what I've been told anyway.

Astrahus can launch 3 squadrons of light fighters - or a combination including 1 squadron of support fighters. These will make a substantial difference in its ability to defend itself. As far as I know defensive modules and fighters are controlled by the same player.

Larger citadels can launch more squadrons including heavy fighters.

Fighter skills are required.

Ah ... there is only one line that mentions fighters:

https://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/structure-fitting-in-the-citadel-expansion/

However, there is no mention of skills required.

Weapon skills were NOT required for starbase gunners.

Wait, citadels can launch fighters? Somehow I missed this completely, first I've heard of it.

Fighter skills do not affect fighters launched from Citadels, and the fact that you currently need minimum fighter skills to launch them from citadels is a bug that we're working on.

The design intention is that the only skills that impact citadel defenses are the fast training citadel-specific skills, to keep older and newer characters on a fairly even playing field when gunning.

I do wish they would post this stuff on the official forums!
