Just a thought.

Worth checking out, thanks for the tip!

Is there any (known) way a previous corp member could access his old corps tripwire? Some strange behaviour prompts the question : chains vanishing while 2 of our us tz guys were online and when i look at the chains today they don't look the same as when I logged last night.

I'm aware that this could be a corp security issue and nothing to do with tripwire.

Tripwire checks anyone logged in every 2 minutes if their character corp has changed (the character they registered the account with). It doesn't require an API key since a character's corp history is public.

Usually this type of thing tends to be someone else either using Tripwire incorrectly for your corp or someone doing it on purpose. Sometimes it can be simply the Tripwire system cleaning up dead wormholes because someone didn't setup the wormhole correctly or altered it in a way to make it's lifespan incorrect.

What I want to do is provide an API point to poll for these kinds of records - I have the work started but need a lot more time. Please consider donating or recommending a donation goal to be created if this is something you really feel it needed.

The CREST funding goal has been met!!

Extra special thanks goes out to HeWhoShallNotBe Named & Cleopathra who donated $1,000... yes, you read that correctly!

Thanks to them and many other who donated Tripwire is going to keep running and get the needed CREST development so in-game data no longer requires the IGB.

I will be getting development rolling right away.

For those curious what I am going to do with all these donations... a small portion will be set aside for when monthly donations don't generate enough to pay for the servers. A large part of it will go to help with wedding expenses - yup I am getting married July 23rd!

Again thank you HeWhoShallNotBe Named and Cleopathra, no amount of thanks is enough.

just to say - I love tripwire and rely on it. I've sent a little something via paypal (anyone can - just hit the paypal button at the bottom of the tripwire login page)

Can I make a feature request? We would like to share the map at alliance level..

thanks for all your hard work

You can make a custom mask and share it with your alliance and whoever else you add, iirc.

Opinion poll on a purposed Tripwire change: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1DKQYbvw8cWMtZM8gFuRTGG3r0Q0zSHiBtCkeZRnc_I4/viewform?c=0&w=1

Simply a change to text alignment in the signatures widget.

Just a little update....

Some static wormholes have been fixed - more coming
A signature counter was added to the top of the signatures section
The ability to right-click the signature table headers to change alignment was added

CREST location to replace the IGB requirement is going well. After speaking with a few fellow 3rd party devs including Fuzzy Steve and a few CCP devs I believe we have a plan of attack (designs) and will begin writing code. The CREST location end-point should provide rapid enough data so even quick jump+jump-backs will be able to be detected (~5 second caching).

Design concept:
Within the Tripwire settings, under the account section where you see the character you registered with will include a toggle to enable tracking you ingame via CREST (which will require a EVE SSO login, completely separate from the EVE SSO login used to get into Tripwire). This also will mean we need to add the ability to finally have multiple characters per Tripwire account.

Now an additional concept is the ability to enable continuous monitoring without the need to even have Tripwire open at all which would also remove the need to enable tracking every time you re-open Tripwire. This will require testing before it is something we can actually do.

Please feel free to provide your feedback and ideas, and don't forget I am available to Tweetfleet slack channel #tripwire-dev

CREST in-game location tracking is coming along well, I was able to get it fully working last night locally. I need to add some GUI to allow users to control it so my goal is to have it on Galileo for public testing THIS weekend!!!

This is all thanks to the awesome funding from earlier to get this added before October when the IGB is removed.

Also as requested I have brought back t-shirt sales, this time trying a different method to ordering: https://www.booster.com/tripwire

Please throw your support in this thread: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=491252&find=unread#

Without this change some features in Tripwire will need to be removed, like mass tracking and current ship of visible players.

Want to get a FREE Tripwire T-shirt?

Tripwire is really lacking in user documentation, lets get it going by doing a contest! Simply create the best wiki pages for how to register for Tripwire and then how to login, thats it. No limits to how it is done, but it must be done on the official wiki page hosted by Bitbucket under my Tripwire repo (link below). The best page will be chosen by me.
When: Now until Aug 27th at midnight EVE time
Where: https://bitbucket.org/daimian/tripwire/wiki/Home
T-Shirt: https://www.booster.com/tripwire

The best page will be picked Aug 28th and the winner contacted. This is a public wiki page so please be respectful and back-up your work locally. Optionally you may submit a screen shot to me to avoid public interference, must be received before the end and can be sent to daimian.mercer@gmail.com

CREST tracking test is on Galileo now (https://galileo.eve-apps.com)
NOTE this is just to test functionality - GUI changes are far from finished but feedback/ideas welcome :)

All feedback should be posted in this thread please.

Okay, I just did a quick test while mapping our static C3 connection, and it worked perfectly. There was only one K162, so the next test will be to map a system with multiple K162s and see if I get the usual "pick the sig" prompt.

So far, so good!

Seems to work fine for me. Just one question, can I get it to track multiple character without having multiple tabs open?
