Welcome to Eve.

Seems you've already got off on one hell of a start, especially for a character first created on 2016.07.06

Yes you can start the Level 1 Sisters Of Eve Epic Arc without completing all 5 Career Agents.

However those 5 Career Agents actually give out a lot of items which are very helpful to brand new characters. I'm talking about Skillbooks, Implants, Modules, Ships, Munitions, ISK, ect, as well as some basic info on User Interface / Station Services.

After completing those Career Agents and collecting up all the goodies from them, the Level 1 SoE Epic Arc is great for gaining more ISK while training up the Core Fitting Skills. By the time the Level 1 Epic Arc is completed, the Core Fitting Skills would be trained up enough to allow some solid basic ship fits.

Course you probably already know that. The main thing to remember in this game is this : Information Is King and Conversation Is It's Queen.

When someone imparts extra info to you, just thank them for their time, file it where ever you want and then move on.

Anyway good luck to you, hope you have a long and rewarding career here.

DeMichael Crimson, thank you for the 4th 'good and helpful response' I appreciate it.

As for it being tiring being me..nope, I never found using a keyboard that much of an effort, or sharing an opinion (something very few of you seem to find exhausting either)

Princess, I should have put money on you coming back with another self important ramble. My position stands, and I think we both know WHY you posted what you did, and why you avoided anything to do with my question.

To address the SOE arc being tough, well according to the majority of forum information, all but the final mission (The blod stained stars) is easily achievable by a new player, so you will excuse me if I take that last comment there as just more hot air and another silly attempt to sound superior.

I asked a simple question and got attitude, so I responded. All the majority of you are doing is reinforcing the belief that a very large number of players enjoy a nice flame war and are full of their own importance because somehow they place a greater value on themselves because of time spent in a game.

One final note...for the guy who does not grasp Human Biology any better than he can grasp the thread of a post. Men don't menstruate.

For the record: Im not wasting MY time on these forums, i'm sitting at work...are you? because if not, then the sad factor just tilted in your direction quite significantly.

Now...remember to follow my easy steps if you wish to continue this conversation.

Big smile Have a nice day.

You've got us all wrong, we love gobshites, especially really testy ones.

Lol..if we are playing spot the insult then that was really easy, zero out of ten for that effort.

Obviously the forums love gobshites, because this post seems to be almost completely filled with them, yourself included. Do you also love people who can't read a post or refrain from jumping into a flame war to try and gain some kind of twisted respect from their peers?

There was no need for your nasty reply. Here in the NCQ&A we get a lot of the same questions over and over again. Many people ( including myself ) come to this game assuming it is like other games when it is completely different. Lots of new players washout early on and I believe that if they understood that the game is intentionally different that the washout rate would be much lower.

Your original question seemed to me to be coming from that perspective. I do not know you personally and had no previous experience with you prior to the post at least none that I am aware of. So I offered a perspective that I thought might be helpful for you or another new player surfing the NCQ&A for information on a very popular mission arc for new players.

You could have ignored my post. You could have said thanks for your time but that does not apply to me. You could have asked how my reply was relevant to your OP. Instead you chose to be a phalus cranium.

If you routinely take offense at other players going out of their way to try and be helpful then you will likely have a rough time with this game as it has one of the most helpful communities in MMO gaming IMHO.

My intent was not to act superior but this game has a steep learning curve. Many of us owe an insane amount of gratitude for help from vets that helped us get going early on and to which we could never fully repay the help. So some of us come hear and try to pay it forward and bring balance to the Eve universe.

If you are going to ask more experienced players for advice and then accuse them of acting superior when they offer it then may I suggest that you look for a game that facilitates you playing with yourself.
Hey look! Someone else who thinks they know "What EVE Is" and of course, if you're not in lockstep with THEM..."and YOU DON'T!" I wonder where I've seen this sort of idiocy before...is it contagious? (Lord, I hope not. I'm too happy being INTELLIGENT!)

If we get chased by zombies, I'm tripping you.

"Does your phone have extra large buttons too?"

What?
How is that even a response?

The buttons on my phone are significantly smaller, I suspect, than the lid on your Ritalin pill bottle.
And likely not quite as big as the hole that was clearly present in the condom used by your parents.

PRINCESS...in response to the points raised (and points deliberately ignored):

"You have had many people take time out of their day to offer you the best advice that they have to offer. Instead of showing even the slightest gratitude for people taking the time to attempt to help you, you decide to jump all over them."

Not true...I suggest you pair my responses with the posts they are responding to and you will see that this statement is as pointless as your original post.

I've seen no one here attack you in any way. I've seen only helpful advice with the one exception being of me telling you to go play with yourself.

Then perhaps you should try reading the posts princess.

You have repeatedly attacked people trying to help you after you had asked for their help.

Nope..I have thanked EVERYONE who provided help and advice, again, read.

You are the only one here acting superior and attacking people. You were also the only one acting rude and nasty until I decided to come down to your level and resort to bickering. ( Yes I said come down to your level not because I am higher but because the conversation was of a higher quality prior to dropping down to personal attacks. )

More 'untruth' and more superiority..the whole 'Level thing' is tiresome and shows you up for what you are, a self important little princess.

I will offer you one last piece of unsolicited advice.

Of course you will..you cant help yourself, but so far none of the advice has been relevant to the post.

The eve community is very helpful and in many ways humble. There are not many people acting superior in this game and certainly few to almost none in this section of the forums. People will blow your ship up and then take the time to explain to what you did wrong and how you could have done better and sometimes ( if you are cool with them as well ) they will even fly with you immediately after words.

Ok..that's not advice, that's just a review of the game and community in general.

The community in this game is famous for being helpful. Other MMOs are loaded with people acting superior and talking down to others so I can understand where you would jump to that conclusion. However I am telling you that is not the case with me and can assure you that it is not the case with nearly all of the regulars here in the NC Q&A.

Obviously IS the case with you though isn't it. And I made no comment about the rest of NC Q&A posters, I personally wouldn't pass judgement on the many because of the few.

If you choose to view me as talking down to you, you are most certainly well within your right to draw you own conclusions.

But you'll kick up about it right?

However I am the only one that can truly know my own intent and perspective.

And MINE apparently

I can tell you that I was not talking down to you.

Ok..you told me.

I almost certainly know more about this game than you.

Very likely, but again, it does not excuse the attitude or failure to offer any relevant reply to a simple post.

I have been playing this game since 2009 with very few breaks. I don't know everything about this game and there are likely things about this game that you know that I do not but my total knowledge of the game almost certainly exceeds yours. Does that make me a better person that you? No. Does that make me a better Eve player than you? That is impossible to determine since this game has no absolute goals or metrics with which to measure.

That was just waffle.

If this game were chess we could sit down and play 10 games and if one of us won 8 out of 10 they could clearly claim to be better. In a sandbox one could claim that they are better because they built a bigger sand castle but what if the other person wasn't even building castles? Maybe you could try and argue that whoever is having more fun is better at the game but honestly I've never heard anyone ever describe anyone else as "the best Eve player". In 7 years of playing this game I've never heard that said or read it anywhere.

And that was more waffle.

Apology NOT tendered.

Good lord man that was hard to read, use italics if you have too many breaks to quote.

You'd be one of the few who actually bothered to read it anyway.

And let's be honest, it Wasn't hard to read..if it was, then I suspect the original post (of which most of that is) was as hard to read and as worthy of your literary critique.

I added some gaps and did not bother with italics because for some strange reason the screen reloads whenever I tried to do so...I'm not going for the Booker or Pulitzer prize here so I figured 'What the Hell'

It's a wall of text, mostly about chess and sandcastles for some obscure reason, with a few lines added in by myself.

I can understand how, with this thread being as far off topic as it could possibly get with the addition of beach passtimes and phones with small buttons, it is difficult to find a new and refreshing way of berating me for daring to oppose a superior poster..but the whole grammar N**i thing has been done to death.

Of course, you may now be able to refresh the whole dirty little affair by being insulted that I did not take your suggestion to use italics more seriously, after all, I can see how it helped the topic back on track and dispelled all the negativity currently clustered around this post.
