What I wanted to reach is to share a lot of my BPC's to my corpmates, but with following restictions:

1. Any corpmate is allowed to build from shared BPC but he isn't able to remove it from hangar.
2. For the job he could use own or shared materials, and also he could get result of the job without help of people with roles.
3. Corpmates are not allowed to get not their materials or job results, unless they are placed in shared container.
4. Corpmate is able to setup job with private container as output location. It should deliver result to that private location even if another corpmate press "Deliver"


So, where am I now:

I created specific Title for that role, then applied it to corpmates. Then I assigned following roles to the title:
- Factory Manager - to allow corpmates start and stop jobs in general
- Rent Factory Facility - to allow start industry jobs
Then I switched to "Hangar Access (Headquaters)" Section and allowed "Query" and "Take" for one Hangar I've dedicated for that task.

After that I placed several containers in that Hangar.

1. First one BLUEPRINTS for BPCs. All items inside it are autolocked when placed. I've tested - now it's possible to build from it but not possible to unlock and get it. Also it's not possible get and repackage container, becuase no access "Take" for Containers.

2. All others conts are named with corpmates names. They are protected with passwords and pass is needed for all actions including "Open The Container"

I wanted to allow people place Materials inside own container (everyone knows only pass from his own cont) and setup the same own cont as output container in the jobs. What I've found - it's not possible to select password protected conts as input and output containers for the jobs. Here is screenshot:

Also, notice it's not possible to setup own personal hangar when I install jobs from BPCs owned by corp. So here is the problem - I can't reach my goal.

Is there any other way to reach what I wanted with another setup? I don't want to dedicate hangar per member because there will be a lot of members, neither to use shared conts, because it's academy corp with low trust to members.

What could be changed in Eve (featurerequests):

Feature 1. First suggestion - allow to use personal Hangars in Corp jobs as input/output location - it would be very great!

Feature 2. Another suggestion is to allow using of password protected corps as input/output locations. I know (source), that password protected cont is used to hide things in industry (source), but it's disambigous. Better to have separate checkbox in configuration "hide in industry" rather then place 2 independed senses for passwords, so it won't be possible to hide unpassworded conts, or use passworded conts in industry.

No need for new feature, if there is already way to do what I wanted.

Let me just move this thread for you. The easiest way to get a thread moved is to report the OP and ask us nicely to move it. Usually gets done pretty quick. :)

1. Only "VIEW" access on hangar. BPO can optionally be locked-down by vote, for every BPO.
2. Only "VIEW" access on hangar to deposit but not take (one-way move pop-up warning).
3. Don't use containers; they don't work the way you might think. Don't use "TAKE" on hangars not allowed to take from.
4. Can't use private containers. Don't use containers; they don't work the way you might think.

If you think POS access is stupid or broken, then you are starting to understand.

Have you seen how many 2/3/4 man corps there are in the game?

Personally I think this is one of the biggest reasons, roles and access.

It's far far easier to open your own corp with your own indy alts and give them all the director role and access to everything. But saying that, I have an alt with the director role that can't access the corp wallet for some reason :/. Trying to sort it all for individual members can be a nightmare and very frustrating trying to sort as none of it (at least to me) is very intuitive.

We have been promised changes to this for a long time now but it seems to have left by the wayside.

So, the easiest solution...a private corp for your industry and an alt in a more social or active corp, whether it be for pvp or wh space whatever. It works for a lot of players.

Sorry I couldn't give you an answer, but the whole system is a pain.

You can't reach your goal with the current system.

Perhaps when Industrial Arrays are released in the fall, if they are dock-able structures like citadels, where every member can use their own private hangar.

POS however will never be changed, and are slated to be removed.
