Station/citadel warehousing and docking fees

Now that we have player-owned citadels, CCP should add warehousing and docking fees to NPC stations and citadels.

Warehousing fees would be charged to players for storing items in the station/citadel hangers, on a monthly basis, based on the value of the items stored.

Docking fees would be charged each time a player docks a ship. The fee should be based on the value of the ship being docked.

These fees should be player-configured values in citadels, enabling citadels to charge less than NPC stations. These fees should encourage even more players to move their base of operations from NPC stations to citadels, despite the inconveniece incurred if the citadel destroyed.

Docking fee on NPC stations is a very bad idea in my opinion.

I think I get where you're going with this but..

Not a good idea.

My hanger is worth a fair few billion.. i think something like 60 (not much i know) my mods are something like 35b.

Like many people I have more than one account and there for use a alt corp with a shared wallet, so any of my toons can access cash quickly and simply. I am pretty sure I'm not alone in this method.

I just game back from an 18 month break.

Were this idea active, that 18 months, would have made a hole in my cash assets. Not good

also, Eve has enough isk sinks already

This would just be the final nail in the coffin.

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

Out of curiosity: What about the people have, let's say, played for more than 5 years, have assets and ships in hundreds of stations? Should they get royally screwed over with these warehouse fees just because you don't have enough targets to shoot?
Or should all these assets magically moved into a single citadel of their choice, which is probably in Null sec, and thus they have no means to move hundreds of millions of cubic meters of assets out of there, except for the royally screwing up fees for asset safety ... which moves their stuff again to a citadel or NPC station, which again screws them over royally with fees.
And what about those people going on a hiatus for months/years? Should they lose all their money over time for warehouse fees without them being able to do anything against it? And once they ran out of ISK, what happens to their items? They get impounded or thrown into space and people, should they ever dare to come back, need to buy PLEX to afford the fees (would actually be in line with CCP's current focus on money grabs, to be honest)?

This sounds like a lot of fun. A whole lot of fun. Roll

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

Hangar fees no.
Player teathered /docking fees yes.
Npc docking fees no.

Granted if you have 60b in assets you can buy your own citadel.
