Well, as it is every year, the 4th of July has come upon us.
Now that might not mean anything special to a lot of the guys playing EVE Online.
But to the American part of our community this day is something very sepcial.

Firework shall be fired into the sky as if they came from overheated rocket launchers.
BBQ feasts will be held and attended like were they EVE's o7 show.

Today is a day of celebration to you, and therefor I extend to you and your families my happy and cautious thoughts.
Take care of yourselfs.
Take care of your families.
Take care of your friends.
For on this day of explosions and probably alcohol, accidents are more plausible than normal.
And for the love of EVE Online, we don't want to be without you any time soon!

today is the day we declared in one voice, we will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to survive, we're going to live on. Today we celebrate our independence day!

As an American, a small word of caution: Millions of us will load the family SUV up with kids, pets, etc and just go somewhere, anywhere. Just try real hard not to be one of those several hundred men, women and children who will die on the nation's highways this holiday. I did a year and a half in a little shithole called Vietnam, then thirty more as a long hauler here in the States and I've seen way more blood and guts on the highways than I did in-country Vietnam. Drive careful.

Actually it was more of a "F**k you George King of Britain" Signed by Mostly British or of British descent founding fathers and add a few Irish and Germans .but happy 4th of July to our erstwhile cousins across the pond regardless.
