Killing Blood Raiders in a Mach

My tank just absolutely cannot handle even the easiest of sites in a -.9 trusec system it seems. Any recommendations?

Try capacitor injection. It makes tanking Minmatar ships much easier.

Well you have two options

1) Fit 1400mm Arty's and a AB, keep range and avoid most dps and neuts, something like...

What's with those Machs without ab? It's 600m/s and with a bc sized sig.

Oh, and a boat with 7 lows and 5 mids is supposed to be armor tanked. Carebears shield tank it because shield exp resist is better against Angels in Minmatar space.

lots of people shield tank it to get max gankage in the lows. plus shield tanking means keeping the ships speed up. armor tanking slows it down

I armor tank my mach, but only against em/therm rats, keep 3 stabs, use tracking compies in mids. You'll keep the tracking and optimal, but lose a minimal amount of dps.

No difference in gank. He had 3 gyros on that shield Mach. An armor Mach with standard 4 slot tank also has 3 gyros. 3 TEs gets moved to mid as 3 scripted TCs. 2 mids left for ab and cap booster. Rep armor fitting (no plate/trimark) don't gimp speed, not that it matters much in pve anyway. Armor affords you better EM resistance and cap.

Why do you have triple capacitor control circuit rigs on a fit that doesn't use cap for anything other than hardeners?

Shield boosters use cap. Rigs are still stupid though.

Sell your mach buy an apoc fit t2 pulses and scorch shoot neuts as a priority...rinse and repeat

Things I have:

T2 projectiles
T2 hybrids

Things that aren't good at ratting Bloods:

projectiles (moreso a problem of the ships that use them then the weapons themselves)
hybrids

For the moment I've switched to a lolarmorfit that's been working okay. Little slower at killing but it's cap stable and tanks better.

Why would armor be slower at killing? Same number of gyros, Scripted TCs replacing same number of TEs.

If I fit all three TCs with scripts it's the same range but zero tracking bonus. Atm I'm using one Range script and two unscripted TCs as that seems to be the best mix.

Small 9% stacking penalized tracking bonus from TEs don't add to much. At long range, ACs tracks well enough. At short range, switch script for big 30% tracking bonus.

I use the above...
Needs 3% CPU implant or 1-2 faction mods to fit.
I swap the 2nd invu for a Photon vs. EM heavy opponents like Blood Raiders.
Works a charm, speed tanks a lot more than it does on paper. Even better with hardwirings and faction ammo.
