I lived solo in a c3 for about 6months and loved it. I had 4 characters - my pve/pvp tengu toon, a Loki pvp toon, a gas huffer/prober and an orca pilot/gas huffer.

made roughly 1bil/wk pve wise, but also had a LOT of fun with small scale pvp. My tengu/Loki made a great combo for ganking anyone I found pve-ing, and I also used them both in stealth bombers to kill asteros/miners etc. I'm quite a patient guy, and I also love scanning, so this helps. For me the satisfaction of scanning out the sigs next door then springing a trap a few hours later was very nice :) I know a lot of people wouldn't consider this true pvp, but it made me smile, so w/e.

I'd say it's a great experience in self-sufficiency, learning how to stay safe/hunt others, and can be a lot of fun, however it can be quite time consuming (scanning your chain out, waiting for that juicy target to start running the combat relic site etc).

At least try it, the start up costs aren't huge - I would recommend a faction large tower (I like TS ones), so you're talking 1bil or so to get that set up, then you want your pve ship (nice to have a spare, but I never lost mine once), I'd recommend a t3 for C3s and a nice BC or Gila or such for a C2, then a dedicated prober, a hauler and it's nice to have a toon that can use data/relic mods, though I would usually leave the faction ones alone as bait for asteros. So 2-3 chars is perf imo.

As mentioned, a C5 static will greatly increase your risks of both getting ganked and getting evicted, but your first WH doesn't need to be your home forever...while scanning you may find one more to your liking and can move in.

A good way to learn about wormholes is to scan them down from hisec and run the sites as a day tripper. When you're happy you know what you're doing, you'll have the knowledge and experience to choose the right wormhole for you to live in.

It isn't impossible to do. However if you live in w space and you don't contribute to the wh community and people roll into you multiple times you would likely be evicted for doing so. My alliance specifically would go after any entity that does this. Either provide content or gtfo.

Truer words have never been spoken. sadly, we've been running into a lot of groups that refuse to fight us recently, even when they have 2-4x as many numbers :(

There is no Bob.

OP just do whatever makes you happy. There is no right way or wrong way.

Id suggest 3 accounts minimum if your trying to run your own hole. C2 with a c5 static - You can do c5 sites with 2 rattlesnakes easily. and the 3rd account can scout or salvage.

Always have a logged off scout who never leaves your hole except in case of emergency.

If your out running sites or doing gas or even just trying to gank a epithal / venture in your neighbors wh.. thats plenty of content for people right there. Dont listen to those who insist you must do a suicide gesture or face eviction when a larger group rolls into you.

Dont smack talk in local or do anything particularly annoying and most groups wont bother trying to evict you unless they really want that hole for some reason. and if they do so what.. you move out find somewhere new.. its all part of the wild west that is wormholes.

Having said that, I think with a corp you will have more fun and it will help share the logistics load. But yeah do whatever you want.. its your game.

Completely agree with you and thanks for the reply. Brilliant advice.. I have stopped listening to the droning on of so called 'please create content for us' if they were any good at pvp at all they would learn how to create their own content.

@true ...that's hilarious. Someone with a terrible track record for pvp - preaching pvp and content. Do you even solo your kills or just join gangs and killmail whore? As I have explained already I will be pvping, I've been in eve a long time and I will not be running from a good pew pew session with people regardless if I win or lose. I'm not here to pissing anyone off but considering your reply.. you are.

I maybe should explain again that I will be pvping... again? I shall pvp... once more? I'm going to pvp... I just won't be playing by your rules.

No one has to tell you how to play, especially in worm space, the land of freedom by essence. It's better to be alone than with unpleasant players.
Have fun in whatever you do. I wish you to meet nice people during your adventures :)

Hey, live in WH by yourself if you want to. There are a lot of aspects to Eve so it's interesting to try different ones. You've been playing the game for a long time so the risk of burning out or getting ganged up on and rage quitting seem slim.

You have an interesting choice of statics though. There's not much you can do in a C5 by yourself, and null is going to make it harder to get to HS to sell your gains. As mentioned a C5 is going to make you accessible to some powerful forces so you will see some groups up close and personal or at least rolling your static.

Only two chars will make it impossible to watch all your connections while doing pve and increases your chances of getting locked out of your hole so you might want to create an alt that you can park in the hole just to make sure you can get back in.

p.s. Based on some of the responses in this tread I'd be careful about who you let in there with you.

All very valid points, however, we have since started to grow in size.. albeit small.. and I'm not the only corp now living in the hole. Which makes it a lot easier in terms of security and pvp. The hole itself won't allow capitals to traverse from any static.. I have tried finding the wormholes to see if capitals can be brought in, and every hole that has spawn has been sub cap.

Also the hisec problem, not so much a problem as the hole spawns a hisec hole once per week I've noticed and during the week one or two is spawn within one of the statics so it's not really been an issue.

But I'm very grateful for your reply! It's nice to see some people in this community are at least willing to help and give great advice.

Thank you.

There's no possible way of moving a capital into a c4 or lower. They have to be built.

I am interested on this statement.

Can you please elaborate on what "provide content" means for you or your alliance?
