To Carrier, or not to Carrier, that is the question.

Hi all,
So, I have alt training for a carrier, specifically the chimera, but i'm debating on switching over to the Nid.
The carrier will be used for multiple things, dropping it on people for the hell of it, ratting, moving stuff etc etc.
I'm building the hull myself from materials I mine, so losing them isn't a big deal to me.
The point is, carriers were in a very good place pre-nerf, they had there niche as an anti-subcap platform, post-nerf, however, I've been told that they are now **** for that role.
Is this true? Should I just give up on training for a carrier? Or have I had smoke blown up my ***?

The real question is, and always has been, what do you feel like doing? Cool

Unless you have a heard of support ships following you around I wouldn't bother with carriers at the moment.

They basically don't have a roll, there is now nothing that they do you can't do better with a dread expect maybe farm havens......and you don't need a carrier for that anyway.

Well as for the moving of stuff... its still safer then a jump freighter. So if that's important to you and you have nothing better to train.

Does anyone else find this particular line absurd.

Yes, but to some people, time is the most worthless commodity they possess.
