From 2016-06-28, I began to suffer from the 3D motion sickness. Cry We are so happy because we got a several updates. But, the new feature of the camera moving effect at the entry into port is poison for me. I can enjoy the EVE Online with comfort without 3D motion sickness as long as which can control a camera with myself act on one's own will.

Therefore, I propose add a new setting to the camera moving effect at the entry into port.

- The setting interface type: boolean ( checkbox )
- The setting name: "Disable a camera moving effect at the entry into port"
- The setting description: "If check it then to disable a camera moving effect at the entry into port. It to prevent the 3D motion sickness due to the rotation production of automatic camera."

This is an accessibility for pilots they had a mild 3D moving sickness. From the update, We get dizzy and headache every time of the entry into port. Please support us.

Thank you.

Feel sorry for you guys.

Such stuff should be implemented in the game as optional, always (eye candy, effects that do not change the mechanics - and that is a problem already)

In game i was told by a CCP x?X that it doesnt affect the functionality... well it does.
Although you are able to stop camera animation after undocking, you can do it too late.

What i mean ?
Safe spots after undocking, point of turning a hauler etc. I was able to undock from a station and warp within 1 sec. And because canceling the undock animation which takes time because it lags in the first 1-3 seconds. I and many others need those 1-3 seconds MORE to get to that point to warp to. Plus the ship gets off course of the insta warp.

Thanks.

Please make an appointment for a cat scan and a physician as soon as possible. That can be a sign of something severe.

I am also experiencing nauseous feeling when docking/undocking. As stated by OP it should be an optional feature. As I have never experienced this feeling other than when riding a rollercoster. Please CCP fix this. I have to look away from my screen everytime I dock/undock and it's very annoying.

Sad I get a black screen for the duration of the invulnerability timer, so I can't even see whats on grid with the station I am undocking from.
Yeah, an opt-in or not button would have been nice.

And I wasn't joking. This nausea you are experiencing can be a mini-seizure (I don't know the term), so please seek a physician.

Madrox420 isn't the only one experiencing nausea after that particular motion have been implemented.

I also read a few other posts yesterday about other ppl experiencing the same things:
nausea, dizziness, slight headaches ect

(note:not saying it ofc aren't serious, however when multiple players who most likely are strangers to each other from different parts of the world (so I assume) becomes affected by the same symptoms from 1 specific implementation then it's without a doubt time to implement the option to turn the "Cinematic camera sequence for docking and undocking" off.

Taking control of the camera away from the player is a basic game design mistake. It is disorienting and unfriendly, a bit like grabbing the player's head and forcing it to turn in a certain way. The camera's position, controlled via the mouse, is our #1 interface to the game.

Compare with, say, the Nintendo Zelda games. When they want to take control of the camera, they are careful to have a clear transition to make sure the player gets time to adjust between "you are in control" and "we are in control". There is a fade, and black bars appear at the top and bottom of the screen, making it look like a letterboxed movie.

These aren't accidents. They aren't just style. They are important visual feedback to the player to let them know that the character and camera are temporarily not under their control.

Simply grabbing the camera and forcing it to a new position (repeatedly, in the case of the docking animation) is violent and unfriendly, and bad design.

IT'S SOLVED! Big smile

We can disable these camera movements if disable the setting:

* Settings -> Display & Graphics -> Camera Settings -> Dynamic Camera Movement ( checkoff! )

We are very comfortable with this setting. Great, thanks! Big smile

It could be as simple as a condition known as positional vertigo and for some sufferers certain movements and in some cases even the perception of these movements such as those we encounter in many computer games can trigger it. There are at least two basic conditions that can cause these problems Benign Positional Vertigo and Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo. Although very similar in cause and effect many experts state they are different conditions while others argue they are simply two names for the same condition, I will let you read and decide which you believe.
For those who may want it, need it or for those who are simply curious here are two links to some basic information and to get you started if you want to dig deeper into this.
Benign Positional Vertigo
Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo

Going back to the OP I am glad you found a solution to the problem, I have always just focused on a non-moving portion of the game like the overview and that solved it for me.
