Just posting this here to let everyone know what is happening over at ER and that things might be shutting down soon.

They never played the Gregorian chants I requested, so no great loss

Whilst I salute the hard work you guys have put into maintaining this community endeavour, the truth is that EVE Radio has to compete with all the other radio stations and streaming services I can access on the internet, and to be honest I would rather spend my time listening to better quality entertainment. I don't know how else to say that without sounding bitchy, it's not meant as a put down. Simply put, the competition is better. However, I still hope that you and your listeners manage to find a way forward.

LOL. I program my own music, and have no interest in listening to amateur broadcasters inanely babbling to one another, inventing their own V.I.P. rosters and shouting out useless information to fill dead air space. What they think is cool, what "you" think is cool, and what I think is cool (at this day and age) are totally different things.

Maybe if they had more gossip...about Cameron...or Kobi Bryant...or ... or ... JUSTIN BIEBER JOKES!!! That's it!!

If we get chased by zombies, I'm tripping you.

The "Great Malaise of 2014" was the beginning of the end but the deal was sealed when Funky Bacon left.

One more thing that was, of times that could be construed as "better". I have had a login for ER since 2008.

But hey, it's not helping ISK or stats so *hurf* *blurf* WHO TF CARES?

I'm not saying EVE is dying but it's another marker on the cave wall.

What's gone (that I can think off) since I started playing EVE:

Juxebox
EON
Battleclinic
QEN - PDF style
100's of EVE-o forum 'warriors' trolls are largely only thing left here like bumblesmuck.
Static background
EVElopedia
(Official) Linux support
Somerblink
EVE radio most likely

And nothing to really replace what's gone. What's next? EFT? Dotlan?

We've gone from an invested and loyal player base to a more mainstream one because that is what CCP has been aiming for all these years, so labors of love like EVE-Radio just can't survive.

Sorry for this but Eve-what? Sorry to say this but I typically don't have enough time to catch up on all the eve podcasts let-a-lone a live streaming thing. And frankly with the game heading the way it is I'm probably looking at taking a leave of absence myself anyways. Just got a GearVR and an Oculus Rift, so will likely be playing more Valkyrie/Gunjack than Eve.

I have witnessed a fall of my favourite internet radios few years ago, EVE Radio, while I listen to it very sporadically (I have my own playlists), was and is still more popular than those already gone, even when I started listening to them before they were gone. Shocked

You may add Dust and IGB to the list.

CCP cuts down everything what looks non-viable and ask 3rd-party devs to make their own things to replace it. However, without official support, these 3rd-party projects are even more non-viable.

Returning of Juxebox or making somekind of internal Eve radio (even fake one, like in GTA-series or Fallout) may be enough to fill the gap.
