C1-C3 Data/Relic Sites?

I had been in a C1 for the last couple days and noted there were some sites that were other than pirate sites. Scanning them down and even gas sites were needless to say less than I had expected in this one I was in.

I moved to another C1 earlier and noted lots of combat sites and ore sites and a number of sigs.

What are my chances on finding pirate sites to hack since this new WH has a large amount of combat sites in it?

Thank you.

Disclaimer: Just my own experience and BY FAR not statistical.

If i move into a C1-C3 with a HS connection the chance is high that someone allready did the pirate-hacking-sites (that´s because im in GMT+1 (?)). If you go to a less frequented (or dead end) lowsec system chances are good that none touched any site in a connected wh.

I wasn´t able to see a patern if combat sites influence what data / relic sites are available.

Don´t underestimate the competition with highsec c1-c3s.

@ Raging Bull, thank you sir!

It may be that moving to losec or nulsec could be possibly better?

Well, moving to nulsec is probably most awesome. Because if you can run hackingsites there you got a local. If its empty you´re fine (BUT: I have NO experience with nullsec exploration myself). I enjoy moving into fw-lowsec (can be dangerous by times - check killboard for entrysystem first) and go there to an "dead end" area.

Good luck and good loot! :)

Low-Sec is the worst place for an explorer. Too busy, too dangerous in comparison with High-Sec, loot is not so good in comparison with Null-Sec and WH-space. But Low-Sec is the best place to sneak into WH-space as been noted. I prefer to explore in WH-space when I have time to concentrate on the game and scan in High-Sec when I will be interrupted with RL.
P.S. Please! Please! Please! Clear all the containers even there is no loot. It helps to spawn new Data and Relics as soon as possible. I hate people who leave a few cans intact.

@ Mike Eshva, HI thanks for your reply as well. Regarding the cans, even if they are empty hack them as well correct? And then new sites should spawn?

No, a new site wont just spawn... A new site will spawn somewhere in the galaxy. Odds are it wont be anywhere near you.

Also of note, once you hack a few cans and leave, the site starts a timer to despawn. While I'm not sure of the timer, I believe it is between 15 minutes and an hour.

Basically if you're hacking in hostile space (anywhere that isn't owned by your alliance), then you should hack the valuables and move on.
