I have to say that I am in agreement with the OP, I have been using it on my alt accounts and I have actually been doing fun stuff with them, what if I say pretty please CCP...

If you support or not - do it. If you have nothing meaningfull to say, leav it attention whore.

As to the original post. I hope it stays the way it is (so daily 10k SP). Skilling everything in EVE to level 5 would take more than 25 years. So 10.000 skillpoints compared to this are nothing (though i think it would shorten the time by few years).

Its not much but i think its the only cookie you can get in EVE, or at least a few crumbles :)

It was only for testing purposes, and it turned out 10k sp daily is not enough incentive to bump login numbers.
Yes, very good and a lot of SP for new players, but a new player would log in anyway (or so it seems, CCP Quant?)

It's gonna get replaced by events, more stuff to do (awesome) and better rewards.

Daily SP already exist. It's called what you get per second for being subscribed.
No further addition was needed.

Eve isn't interested in giving you a cookie. Eve wants you to take your cookie from someone else, and eat it in front of them while they cry.

If you'd like free cookies, may I suggest you might be playing playing the wrong game?

+1 for it not to be removed, it's a great way to fast train the long tedious skills, the bitter vets are just having a cry because they feel it cramps their play style somehow. I suggest they also feel threatened that people are able to catch up to them SP wise quicker :-).

Yes... Thats it.

Nothing to do with the fact that new players train slower than vets with dailies. Nothing to do with the fact that shooting npc's is a boring as **** activity that many players don't want to take part in. Nothing to do with the fact that it didn't provide the result it was supposed to. Nothing to do with the fact that the main beneficiaries of dailies are no life grinders whereas the average eve player (last i read) was 25 with a full time job.

If you want noobs to train quicker, then just make noobs train quicker...your ignorance is staggering.

Ok now to add another reason why it was a bad thing to end this.

I was trying to get hisec indy players to use this SP on a PvP alt while doing their training to suit their indy / mining needs. Thanks for nothing CCP SadRoll

They are removing it because it didn't help encourage people to log on, despite being given free skillpoints (everyone can kill a rat)

I thought it was a silly idea to begin with, so I am personally noncaring about it getting removed.

Nearly but not quite.

Eve isn't interested in giving you a cookie, it gives you the ingredients to make your own, whether you choose to do so, or choose to steal one from somebody else is up to you; either way Eve will be along shortly to steal whatever cookies you have managed to either make or steal, and then it'll eat them in front of you while you cry.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Yup, that became my signature.
Edit

Or it would have, if CCP wasn't so stingy with their character counts.
