Hi,

I have got an alt which can almost fly a command ship and had good leadership skills, I am trying to think of the "safest" way to use it while running high sec missions and need a little advice :


  • Should I just warp to somewhere safe and then turn on the warfare links while I am running missions? Can I cloak at the same time?
  • Should I throw up a pos and sit my alt in there with the warfare links on?
  • should I not worry as it will only be a T2 for commands ship so is a less gankable target?

You can't cloak since they are active modules. Safe spot should be fine.

Links don't work inside forcefields (except mining links). You *could* sit just outside the forcefield but I think that's kind of paranoid.

That would be my advice. Don't pimp fit it and you should be fine just safespotting and afking the link character.

EEr... Character that can fly command ship and has no knowledge about game mechanics, im a bit sad inside.

Use full t2 fit on a 7x link drake (or something like that), in a safe or even station undock if You are in HS and not in a war. No1 will bother shooting that.


There is an update incomming (soon TM) that will hopefully force links to be on-grid and not 250 au away in a cloaky nullified unscannable t3. I guess bothersome for mission runners since ya'll have to fit tank and take gates with the booster, but do you really need links to do a L4? Second dps toon better...

Thank you everyone, 5 years away from the game I feel like a noob again Lol It is lots of fun.

When I reactivated my accounts my alt seemed to be training command ship and I suspect it is so I could run multiple warfare links (all leadership skills are already lvl5), can a normal BC do that?

I sometimes run an EOS because it's easy to assign drones to the main ship while boosting. It may also be future proof when OGB is removed.
