Control tower question

If I put offline and unanchor a large tower, then anchor and online a medium tower, will labs that I have unachored during the tower replacement keep the jobs when I online them within the medium tower or will something weird happen??

Any help appriciated

Sorry its not that simple. You will have to stop / cancel all jobs, then unanchor all structures, then unanchor the tower before you can anchor the new one and place all your structures. Its a pain of a job.

just keep the large tower up until the jobs are done then switch.

It is a fairly quick job these days. I shudder to think how it was when onlining took ages. For each module.

I always set aside two whole evenings for setting up a large tower under the old system. It was a pain. Probably 6-9 hours to setup a large tower. Labs were 10 minutes to anchor, 10 to online. Defensive batteries were around 2.5 minutes to anchor each. Hardeners & other arrays were 10 minutes each.

You lived with a kitchen timer in your pocket for those two days.

A kitchen timer and either a movie on tv or a video game to help kill the time.

You don't have to manually stop the jobs. Unanchoring a lab auto-cancels any jobs in that lab.

You cannot unanchor a structure that is under the control of a control tower if the structure contains anything.

If there is no control tower, then you get a warning pop-up about destroying the contents on unanchoring.
