Hi All,

Need your opinion on this scenario (im stumped...)
Please note corps and stuff.


Our Fleet:
1x Rook (corp 1)
1x Harbinger (corp 1)


Opposition:
1x Dominix (corp 2)
1x Hurrican (corp 3)


Situation:
After some high-sec/low-sec jumping we all met off the gate (~12km in all directions from jump spamming.) Myself in the Rook started to burn back to the gate, the hurricane locks me up and agresses (flags red, flashing, im webbed and scrammed, can tell by the icons). I jam him (yay) I then call for my Harby buddy in the same corp (non-aggressed) to start wailing on him....

Harby buddy gets aggression warning(hits OK, due to heat of the battle) gate guns start firing on him... WTF?
Dominix locks up my harby friend, starts his drones on him (I can clearly see them shooting my harby friend from 1km away)

I lock up the Dominix, start to jam (WTF aggression warning? OK)
Harbinger friend dies (dominix Orgre II's + gate guns=dead)

I shortly after die when cane gets 1 lock rotation on me and caps me out...


My question to you guys.... Why the f*** were we getting aggression warnings? WHY did we take sec status hits? We were in the same corp, they were in different corps, we had no kill rights, no war decs on.....


If you need any more info let me know thanks!! Is this petitionable?

What was your sec status at the time?

If you were anywhere beyond -5.0 sec status for example you are basicly free to be shot at in low-sec space with no GCC being placed on the aggressor.

So basicly, you have -5.0 or worse sec status. The hurricane is free to engage you without getting any aggression warning. He engages you, since he has engaged you, you are free to reciprocate. Your harbinger corp mate however is not and when he engages the hurricane which had a sec status of -4.9 or better he triggered GCC which entails navy aggression (station and gate guns).

Now, with your harbinger pal having a GCC, the dominix is free to light him up without any navy aggression gained. Since the Dominix did not engage you, just your harbinger friend, when you attempted to jam him, you got the aggression warning sign.

E: If you had a positive sec status, then the above scenario would not work, so in that case, Jesus hates you.

the jumping in and out part is what i wonder about...

only reason for this to happen is that the cane had aggro towards you.
so he can shoot you w/o going global. and so he did.
you jamed him and then your harbi friend went global on the cane.
then you went global on the domi.

well just because someone turns red dosent mean they have gone global, you should have made sure that he was global to your friend before telling him to smash the button. regardless of the mix up he agreed to go global himself.

Simple herped when you should have derped senario

but how the cain was able to agress you without going global is definatly a myestery, probialy some sesion timers not being able to keep up with jumping back and forth, they have been a tad bit funky since crucable.

My sec status is +3.9 so that wasn't the case, also I'm pretty sure if my corpy gets attacked (like I saw fkn lazor beams(nuets) n **** hitting my mate) I can attack back right? Hence me jamming him.

I made sure he was global, I had no aggro to him, he was flashing red, I was webbed and jammed (little pictures on my overview?)

Ah well.....

I had this exact same thing happen to me two days ago. The agressor had kill rights on me. You sure he didnt have them on you?
