Watch local and if you see anyone carrying the CODE. tag or see a warship drop in on you and approaching your vessel, orbit the rocks to avoid bumping. If you see multiple members of CODE., warp out to a safe place and wait for the storm to blow over.

You will be fine, relatively, if you are vigilant.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

I have not lost a ship yet, I'm actually rather proud of myself. I keep getting people asking me for mining permits, and also some advances from soldiers wanting me to join the Federal Defence Force. Is it that strange for someone to just be a miner as their main profession? I'm not in space to make as much ISK as possible or to shoot anybody. Of I never have to kill anybody I'll be perfectly fine slowly depleting asteroids of minerals.

I also keep getting advice about mining other minerals because Veldspar is ISK inefficient. Do you guys even realize how much 1 ISK is!? With several thousand ISK I could retire for a lifetime on a pleasure planet. I don't need exuberant amounts of money to enjoy life.

You said you wanna be a miner and people told you what to do to be a miner. If you wanna just mine veld and be happy and free - sure thing, they will leave ya alone.

The only rule you ever need to follow in New Edne is that if you enjoy doing what you are doing, then just keep doing it. If and when you find that less enjoyable and what to try something new, do that.

Don't ever let somebody make to you think that what you are doing isn't the right way to live your life in New Eden.
