In-Game Events and Gatherings

It has been nearly a decade since Zaxana (Unero Sexy), a veteran of the Great War, originally started the EVE India in-game channel. The channel’s purpose was simple: a public chatroom where Indian players playing EVE Online (no matter the country of origin) can chill and discuss PvP tactics. It is the only known public channel dedicated for Indian players. There’s always been a relatively small pool of us but it’s become apparent that there are more than we first realized.

Long before I was given admin rights to the channel to take over what Zaxana started, I realized how influential the active Indian players have been in the history of EVE. Whether it’s penifSMASH (one of the few Indian CEOS) and his antics, Mr Hyde’s solo PvP ventures, or the numerous contributions we have made in the war campaigns of major alliances, our presence has made a significant impact. Our individual paths have led to the evolution of PvP at various levels of the game, including supercapital and solo/small gang warfare.

This is an open invitation to all Indian players to join EVE India and spread the word. The channel’s mission has never changed and I intend for it to be a place where new players can learn the fundamentals of the game much quicker. Much of my newbie education was thanks to the fine gentlemen in this channel and it has been a medium for me to share my own knowledge to other new players.

Anyone can join EVE India, regardless of race or nationality. We have had players from Goonswarm, TEST, PL, The Initiative, and other corners of New Eden. It’s now time to discover more players and expand our sphere of influence as our numbers are constantly growing with each passing generation of EVE.

Thanks for making a new thread Vik. Cant wait to meet more awesome Indians in this beautiful game that we all love.
