Hello, we have started a small school for New Players looking to be pushed out to larger Corporations and Alliances. We are working in tandem with our friends in Null Sec, and here is my idea...looking for all opinions good or bad on this.

Investing into a corporation for payout.

Course of action:
-Start with Far Space Mining Corp
-All entry level Ships and Mods given to starting players.
-We train to Null Sec starting standards in Mining/Industry, PVE, PVP, Exploration etc.
-Must stay with Corp for atleast 30 days to receive offer (Trust)
-Player Invests any amount they wish, with a return on investment. (you do not have to invest, just an option for you)
-They leave corp to their New Corp.
-within 30 days from investment we will return your ISK + 20%

This is an Idea for a young Corporation.
Any and all suggestions welcome.

I AM NOT A NEW PLAYER, I KNOW DO NOT TRUST ANYONE IN EVE.

But we would like to earn the reputation for being able to help Newer Players in anyway possible.

This Corporation was created due to the high number of brand new players requesting membership in an established Null Sec Alliance/Corporation. This school house will not be Competitive to EveUni for obvious reasons (large, established, etc) But will mostly be used for our friends and anyone who wishes to receive quality new pilots that are mentored by our partners.

And for New Players, we receive with open arms!

Thanks all.

What sort of protection can you offer newbros from war in highsec?

Do you have any standing agreements with the mercenaries ?

If this is not the case what is there to prevent ye from becoming the punching bag one ye become large enough to garner attention?

Your intentions are good ( Aside from schilling in ncq&a ) but those are genuine concerns.

I apologize for wrong section.

I posted this as a discussion, not a recruitment though. With the intent of getting the Community opinion on this type of operation, and how well it would be recieved.

And the Mercenaries are still being talked to diplomatically,
but we have friends in Sov Null Alliances.

Can a moderator please move this to the right forum. I'm not sure where it should be posted but this was a community discussion FOR NEW PLAYERS and the Eve community

My very first corp promised something similar to what you offer. It was a null sec affiliated academy corp that mentored new players while they proved their trustworthiness. I joined during my first month, I think.
After a string of wardecs, half of us were booted on suspicion of being spies. The corp disbanded a little while later.

Just don't do what they did.
I'm still not really sure what they did wrong.
Don't do whatever it was though.

There's no real discussion here, more an advert for your corporation. I'm sure it'll be moved though :)

More importantly though, you have not addressed the issue of your lack of moustache. I'd get onto that, tout de suite!

I dont really understand what your corp offers, that other corps do not. There are plenty of Nullsec corps that offer and provide ships and mods that dont require anyone to invest isk in, because they already belong to well-established alliances that already have plenty of isk flowing in.

It seems as though your corp is doing what every other corp is doing, except for an additional layer of "Plz donate isk to us".

Also, im confused as to how you are going to make a profit in order to return the investment? Or are you just giving away 20% of the isk from your own pocket.

Also, since this offers nothing new as to providing new players some experience, i suggest this be moved to either the recruitment section of the forums, or the market discussion forums, as you also seem to be asking for investment isk.

You're trying to obfuscate a request for investment (i.e. with no audit or oversight) by couching it as a new-player corp with optional donations.
The only thing you offer is "er, mining or something and friends in nullsec" -- if you can't name them at the outset they are either worthless, fictional or don't actually want to be associated with you in any formal way.

Your thread stinks, sir.

Investment schemes in EVE rarely work out due to the trust issues. They also tend to go pyramid as the older toons get their 20% off of the labors of the newcomers. Eventually the new blood dies off and the whole thing falls apart.

No investment that's sound can offer a fixed return in a risk world, so if you're serious, drop the numbers and put out a known formula for calculating return.

Next, move the newbies immediately out into null and under the protection of participating null sec corps. Don't have middle-man training as it's best to let them learn in the corp they feel like they might fit into at the start.

Allow zero loss transfers across the participating Null Sec corps. Where you start may not be what you actually find you like doing and you should be able to take your stuff and gains with you as you transfer around across corps friendly to each other.

Of course all of this brings in the spies/lack of trust issue which is, to repeat previous points, why this kind of thing is really hard to pull off!

It's better to mentor newbies in their NPC corps (can't be war dec'd) with 1:1 training sessions rather than try to work a larger "Welcome to EVE, here's a great investment..." kind of plan.

Just my thoughts, I could be entirely wrong.
