loyalty points

i have numerous loyalty points in depots but i'm unable to use them , when trying to exchange for items i'm told i dont have enough CONCORD LPs to exchange LPs of the depots im in. How does one acquire CONCORD LPs

You aquire Concord LP through Incursions.

To my little knowledge you can only get it through Incursions in highsec and Null.

when you press alt+j to open your journal there should be a tab showing you your loyalty points.

You can redeem these points at a station that you own loyalty points at, concord loyalty points is something completely different.

When you open the LP Store its default size is too narrow. Expand the width and you wil see a buy button.

If you have LP points for different NPC corps, you have to dock at one of their stations to buy stuff from their LP stores. Different corps have slightly different LP stores.

Im confused as to what you mean by "depots".

My guess is that you have a scattering of LP in different factions, and you were under the mistaken impression that you could transfer LP from one faction to another.

This is not the case.

You can only use LP from one faction, in the same faction.

If you have 2000 Lp in sisters of eve and another 1500 in caldari navy, you must use that 2000 LP at sisters of eve stations, and you cannot use the caldari navy LP at a sisters of eve station.

The exception to this is.concord LP, which can be transfered to any other faction, but once you transfer, you cannot transfer back.

You also must take into account exchange rates. Concord LP is worth a fraction of other faction LP, and when you transfer, you lose some LP.

I.e. if you want to transfer 5000 concord LP to caldari navy LP, you only get 4000 caldari navy LP. The other 1000 LP is lost in the transaction( i beleive the exchange rat anis 0.8).

Loyalty points:

You earn these points by (generally) doing missions for NPC corporations. The loyalty points you earn are segregated by corporation, and can only be spent in the stores of that corporation.

The only exception to that is Concord loyalty points, which can be exchange for any corporations loyalty points, at an exchange rate of (I think. I'm probably wrong) 0.8 corp lp, per concord lp. You do this using the exchange button up at the top right of each LP store.

Not everything in the LP store is worth buying, and some things are worth more. What these are is very dependant on how the market is moving. https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/lpstore/ can be worth using, to work out the best isk/lp conversion ratio.

To buy something, open the lp store. if you don't see a column on the right with buttons marked 'buy', then you want to expand the store window. there's the ability to filter the store in the top left, either to showing all, showing only what you can afford (this includes having the required items) or build your own filters. pick the item you want, hit buy, and tell it how many you want.
