Method of getting "friendly name" for an item in inventory?

Folk,

I don't believe there is a method to do what I'm wanting... but posting here to confirm.

I'm able to query my inventory using the provided API. I'm able to cross reference with item dumps and market pricing.

However, I'm looking to acquire the friendly name for a given item in my inventory. For example, a renamed container, or the name of a ship.

Is there a mechanism of doing that through the API that I've missed?

(e.x., inventory contains a station container with the name of '-- Container: Ammo'. I'm hoping to acquire the '-- Container: Ammo' name for the item).

Thanks,

No, this is not possible, yet.

But I remember a post of (methinks) Stillman Prism X, that something like that _might_ come in the future.

found it:

As a future note:
At some point this call will be deprecated and split into eve/OwnerNames and eve/TypeNames. Alongside that we'll add calls to resolve the names of non-owner locations (such as planets, the ship you are in, a station and so on). Any thoughts on that?

@Lutz - Thank you! Hopefully PrismX will see there is still a desire here...
