The new eve launcher was working fine 12 hours ago, now it says,

"This webpage is not available

ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED
Hide details
The webpage at https://launcher.eveonline.com/1.949/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address."

Has a white background screen, I'm using a mac so I have tried using the menu bar to log in but I can't log in to the game at all. I tried reinstalling the launcher and I get the same error. I went to another location and got connected to the internet but still the same error message and log in issue. I'm not sure what else to do.

When the last? launcher update came about a week ago my launcher broke immediately.

Only a white window appears with the settings, minimize/close buttons at the top right.

I have uninstalled the launcher, reinstalled from a previous version and cancelled all update attempts.

It appears it is forcing the update now without even giving the option to cancel it.

It's almost as if CCP doesn't want me to pay for their game

I hope I don't meet the worm that creates the holes,  must be immortal.

Try deleting ~/Library/Application Support/CCP/EVE/QtWebEngine - this is where the QtWebEngine stores its cache.

Try setting an environment variable called QT_OPENGL to one of the following values:
desktop
angle
software

See http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000549.htm if you are unsure of how set environment variables.

This environment variable controls how Qt, the framework used by the launcher, renders it's UI. It seems that on some systems the default values result in drawing problems, and this may be a workaround until we figure out the issue.

So I'm not the one who started topic but I have exact same issue.

I then proceeded to start EVE from 'Server list' setting option, but you can't access New Eden Store if you start game in such manner.

OS: Windows 10.
Deleting %local%\CCP\EVE\QtWebEngine didn't help.
repair.exe did update itself, but didn't fix the launcher.

Looking for any help on this topic.

[UPD] Part of log http://pastebin.com/PpSGq90y (guessing it's not much helpful).
Also why windows client tries to open G:\usr\local\ssl\openssl.cnf? http://i.imgur.com/3CFouYS.png

[UPD2] Maybe this?

Deleting %local%\CCP\EVE\QtWebEngine only for Windows is not enough to make the Launcher work again. I also deleted the folder "cache" which seems to be the directory where the QtWebEngine stores its cache, because there is also a "QtWebEngine" directory in it. For me it worked to also delete this directory. Now I can play again ;).

It was resolved by launcher update.
