I can share the information with you, but I'm afraid I must insist upon my customary 20bn fee. ISK to Bumble, please.

It was probably related to economics.

probably a lot of POS whent down and where replaced by citadel. Most of them don't currently need fuel so less demand therefor prices go down

yep,
Lot of ice mining bots gonna be real unhappy.

When the new arrays are released and POS phased out, those ice bots gonna be out of business.

Wonder what they will bot next?

They will probably provide more uses for ice to compensate. Possibly some smaller arrays requiring it for manufacturing.

I think you all wrong. CCP raises the usage of Strontium clathrates. So more ice needed for it and there fore more isotopes, water or ozone producted as well. But not consumed as much as Strontium.

Other things than POS use isotopes.

You can also look at how much those things are being used at the moment ;)

HS citadels are using fuel blocks, for refining etc, but, they can use any type.

Citadels use a fraction of the fuel of the POS that they replace and fuel blocks drive the majority of the demand for ice products.

As more and more towers go offline and are replaced with citadels over the next six months a huge chunk of ice demand will go with them.

Either CCP will have to create a new demand for ice or reduce the supply. I don't see the new structures using large amounts of fuel, as that would be so different than the way citadels function. My bet (and my money) is on a reduction of supply. I expect that either the spawn time on belts will be increased (from four to six hours?) or the amount of ice spawned in belts will be cut (in half?), or some combination of the two.

They could also turn ice into sites that need to be scanned down the way ore sites used to be. That would have the effect of reducing practical supply.

I'd counter that Nitrogen isotopes have been manipulated higher for quite some time now, and are starting to come down towards normal. The others looked pretty boring in comparison, last I checked.

I think ice products are still inflated at this time, so expect some more air to be let out of their markets.
