Quit game button is now Log off button on sisi?

I tried to find a mention of this change, but seemed it was hiding from me.

is this just a naming change, or does it imply that logging to character select is going to be possible soon or at least a goal? I know it's a requested feature so I'm hoping it's not just a naming change.

I am sorry to wreck your dreams, but this is unfortunately only a naming change. It would be great, if it would be possible to change the character without closing the client completely, but for this we would need a massive rewrite of the client.

Couldn't you just designate a button to close and automatically relaunch the client with the same SSO token as previously used?

TBH with the new launcher it's just as easy to launch a new client as it would be to change the login. Main issue is having to log out of certain toons to do what (should) be remote actions on them.

With the current setup the SSO token would already be expired at this point.

My question is this, besides the ability to go back to the character selection screen. How much else could be improved by a massive client rewrite? There as to be a ton of features that would benefit from this; even features haven't been thought of.

I do like the remote features, there are some things like the industrial window, skill queues etc that would benefit from the ability to not have to change toons to do a single function. Though you will always have the trolls who don't like change or improvements that appear to make things easier, when in reality it streamlines the game and yes, makes it easier to preform some actions.
