Installed new launcher 2 day ago. Today non launcher login no works.

2 days ago I download and installed new EVE launcher. It worked fine for 2 days. Today there was a small patch downloaded by the launcher. Now i can't log in using non launcher method, I am up to date but it doesn't work any more, it just says I am not updated.

I managed to fix it by deleting my install and reinstalling.

Seems that if you have the new launcher, when a new patch is released the non launcher method will cease to work.

You're _probably_ starting the old version, rather than the new version. It's stored in the same location as the shared cache.

My sneaking suspicion is that this is probably by design. CCP has mentioned several times over the years that they don't support logging in without using the launcher, and that the ability to do so could vanish at any point.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if you can no longer do this at all after the old launcher stops working on the 28th.

If you are starting up the client from exefile.exe directly the location has changed. From the launcher drop down menu (the E logo), Show in Explorer, Shared Cache - you´ll find a tq folder there - under bin is the exefile.exe the new launcher updates.
