hi o/

I've some questions about this : K162 Signatures Appearing on First Jump

Does it still work like this?

Because what happened to me once, is that I noticed a new sig popping after collapsing the static, i scanned it, warped to it, and there was an interdictor waiting for me on the other side. Considering the mechananics described here, how could this happen ?
Were there changes made to this ?

Thk for help

Since the Hyperion changes the spawn mechanic works like described in the link below

https://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/into-the-known-unknowns/

i took the liberty to paste the part which answers your question below:

As of Hyperion, we are planning to have K162 signatures appear as soon as the first player jumps through their wormhole connection. This prevents players in the destination system from receiving unfair early intelligence while also ensuring that a vigilant player can determine if a potentially hostile intruder has entered their system through a new wormhole connection.

Once a wormhole has been jumped through once, the K162 signature will remain scannable for the lifetime of that wormhole. This scannable state will persist across downtimes.

After discussion with the community we have decided to make some adjustments to this plan to ensure that enough wormhole connections become visible to keep travel options open.

Although K162 signatures will not appear as soon as a player warps to them (as they do currently), they will have a random chance to appear every several minutes once the wormhole connection has less than 15 hours of natural lifetime remaining.

I can guarantee that the wormhole will not spawn on the other side until you jump it. They will have a random chance to appear every several minutes once the wormhole connection has less than 15 hours of natural lifetime remaining.

Silly question, but are you sure your side was not the k162 side?
Sounds to me that the dictor jumped through the WH, and k162 spawend on your side.
If you are sure your side was the entrance, my only guess is that some bug happened that connected your newly spawned WH to an existing k162 about to despawn.

When a wormhole pops up, and it's NOT a k162, the mechanics for the k162 spawn on the other side are:
1 - If noone WARPS to the signature, K162 will never spawn. I don't know what happens to wandering wormholes (does it despawn after some time?), but static wormhole never disappear.
2 - If someone WARPS to the signature, K162 spawns on an invisible state, if the WH has less than 15hous, every few minutes there is a random chance for k162 become visible.
3 - If someone JUMPS through the WH and k162 was invisible, it will become visible immediately.
