The fastest way to learn is to be in a situation where you have no choice. So what I am going to do is join Faction Warfare with just the ship I have, and if I lose it I will figure out a way to get my next one. Going to be hard at the start I suspect, but will certainly will be good in the long run.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post! See you in space.

While I applaud your go get them attitude I will enter a single caution for you to consider.
Never take your only ship into a place where you know there is a good chance to lose it why?
Once that ship is gone the only thing you will have to earn ISK with is the free rookie ship with the worst possible fitting on it.

I would advice to complete the career missions and possibly the SoE epic arc to get some ISK to replance the inevitable losses early on.

buy a plex and just buy hundreds of frigates and die hundreds of times, rinse and repeat and avoid the standard grind mechanics

Calm down miner. As you pointed out, people think they can get away with stuff they would not in rl... Like for example illegal mining... - Ima Wreckyou*
