ok so, report the bots and maybe even consider ganking them (if the bots pass through .5 or .6 a dessie can probably do the job)

Umm ... I have run bots before in a game, to test the NPCs before implementing them. You don't need 4-5 computers.

All they are is scripted code that can run in a .bat file and looks like a DOS window scrolling through code. They don't load graphical features and all sorts of code such as UI and object interaction gets thrown out. For the purpose of that NPC, it knows what it does and only needs to code to do that job.

Edit: To have some idea easily, load bots in a LAN game of Counter Strike. All those characters are doing roughly the same things as players but they are running on a single client.



OK let me say like this. I know that guy in real life . I was at his home .He live realy close to me . He have 5 lab tops which he bought at 50 euros each from some gipseys who stolled named labtops in germany. Those labtops dont have displays at all. They are all somehow (i realy dont know how) connected to one monitor . Each labtop he own run one client 23/7 botting(in his words this 5 labtops working like this are great for power saving, as he told they spend 400% less electric power than as 5 desktops with 5 monitors). I saw him switching from one client to another and i know he earns roughly 5 to 6 bilion PER day only from those bots in asteroid belts . His income increase futher more from mission running and trading which he does from normal pc he got.
Now there was no .dos windows etc... those was normal clients .
I dont know type of bots etc because im not that good with pc's but one thing i know. 2 years ago he was in Egypt 30 days on holliday from EvE money... and you dont wanna know in what house he lives in.
But i did the math. at current income he has (if he doesnt lie) he makes around 20 usd per hour of doin nothing . I am not sure how much CCP staff is payed but in my country he has higher tax free income than Doctors, Surgeons hell he has salary as our President . No jokes .


And he is small fish... realy small fish in the oceans of rmt traders .... I so want that unholly rage thing to happen all over again... and again... and again... So guys such is this see how ordinary people have to actually work to make money.


And yes im mad and agry and you name it because i cant do that >.> to be honest in this economy if i had chance to earn money like this i would. But i cant so nobody other should also =p

Without feedback - reporting in game feels pretty useless.

Civilians don't have anything to worry about. Pretty much apparent from known facts that bots don't either.

have you reported a bot? You have no option to include any info about them. Just report, receive pop up. If you send info via petition the GM will tell you to report bots via report-a-bot and then close your petition.


Odd, I remember reporting a bot and seeing something that asked for why I thought it was a bot. Was I dreaming?

yet instead or reporting him to both CCP for botting, and to your local authorities for receiving stolen goods smuggled across international borders, you come to GD and tell us how real the problem is and how mad you are about it.

In my country this isnt a crime .
If CCP cant bust this guy on its own they dont deserve to get help. Does scammed people get help ccp when they lose thers 800 mil isk in margin trading scaming ?

only because i know its stolled doesnt mean it is. Fact is gipsy people go to german and steal there... than they bring stollen goods to my country and sell it for real low prices. Now why would that bother me ? ? i bought Nokia Lumia for 150 euros , brand new . Payed an extra 20 euros to decode it and i got my self brand new Nokia Lumia . I pay 4 euros per month for every channel there is on Sat . I got over 2 thousand HD channels . Why would i have problems with that ?

Its a crime to steal it... why would it to buy it ?? if he have it there its not buyers faulth , its sellers and inspection faulth they didnt confiscate those goods on border (german one specially for allowing it to leave country at first place) So if somebody steal a car on france and get it all the way to my country w/o getting arrested... than damn... he deserve every penny he gets for it . Again its not buyers faulth. Im not gonna pay 5000 euros for something if i can get it for 1000 .

No, 5 low skill dessies might do the job reliably.

There are 100s of these things running about. Don't know they are bots but there is something weird going on.

I set them all to neutral standings so they don't show on my overview and obscure potential targets - currently have well over 100.

The pic below shows the cargo and ship scans from about 15 mins after reenabling neutral standings.

A few points:

1) They actually fit their ships really well. Itty V with tech II shield extenders and Invul II is the standard fit. ~15kEHP
2) They don't fly on autopilot.
3) They don't seem to need a lot of sleep, someone really likes their courier missions.
4) They are an unfriendly bunch, not one of these dedicated hauler pilots has responded to my convo as they WTZ about
5) Names are weird, two random words from the dictionary or something. You can normally tell it is a courier runner before you scan them from the name.
6) Report bot function doesn't allow you to add an explanation. I'm not going to sit there all night sending bot reports into the void.

Anyone who wants to try and gank these send me an eve mail and we can get a gang going. I have an Orca and can supply a few hundred thrashers.

Needs a bit of co-ordination as but I reckon they can be thinned out a bit.

And Tepir - I will remark on your morality

Read up on law - local and European, I believe you will need to have an understanding of your rights when you get caught for receiving stolen goods (as well as your buddy)
