A simple toggle for station / citadel background NOISE.

Reasoning:
1. It truly is just NOISE that gives no benefit to game play
2. Running multiple accounts - it's not always desirable to have several stations worth of NOISE going in the background
3. I think you used to be able to pan out (in station) and the noise would go away. Currently it can't be bypassed.

Benefit:
1. You could run multiple accounts at the same time and not have station NOISE imposing on the gameplay of undocked characters
2. User control of the UI is generally a good thing
3. It seems simple enough to implement

Drawbacks:
1. Fewer headaches
2. Better focus on undocked characters
3. Fewer headaches

From where I'm at it seems to be a clear buff to player sanity and a clear nerf to tylonol revenue.

(If need be I can make up some nonsense about how it would create content or be a conflict driver if anyone needs the comfortable buzzwords to feel good about this)

This is Eve where choices matter... except UI choices...

Escape menu
Audio tab
Check "Advanced Audio Settings" box in the middle panel
Move slide bar labeled "Station Interior" all the way to the left
Profit.

That's why Eve and CCP are so awesome! It took under 2 days and no lengthy discussion to install a hot fix and get this feature implemented. I'd like to thank CCP, the developers, Iain Cariaba, and all the little people that made this exciting new chapter of Eve Online possible.

Thank you!

Not to crush your delusion, but that's actually been there for quite a while.

Oh, who am I kidding, this post is entirely to crush your delusion. Twisted

No CCP actually built a time machine to better help their customers now when they see them having a hard time they actually go back in time to patch the game so they never have to deal with the issue in the first place
