Dearest CCP,

I am writing this today to let you know that my time and patience has finally run out. I say this sincerely and with a heavy heart, that after the Citadel release earlier this year, my custom settings I use overviews, color scheme, window locking among other things has been every time from an update been reset to their default values like I am a newbie player.

It is very frustrating to say the least. It is just been such a war between you and I, that after I spend time setting every thing the way I want it, you see fit to revert those to their defaults. I am not ranting or whining or complaining, merely pointing out inconsistant and inconvience of going thru every setting to set them the way I need them to be again and again.

I have done everything I know to prevent this from happening time and again with absolutely no luck, I never changed anything when I transfer the files from the old launcher to the new one. I didn't touch anything I shouldn't have and it's been a constant battle ever since.

In closing, even tho my account expires in October I am unsure as to how to proceed at this point. It has ruined for the lack of a better word my experience in how I make use of my settings and in how I play. As far as I can tell, there is nothing more I can do but suffer with a less than enjoyable experience in Eveonline.

I will not respond to this thread, thank you.

You realize that you should be able to export that to a file right? And then save that file somewhere.... least there SHOULD be that option... but I am a ****** most days so.... maybe....Big smile

This happened to me once when I updated the launcher ... never after having done that.

I'm confused. 3 minutes after OP posted this, they posted in another thread:

you could even save overviews in your Corp bulletin, an evemail, etc. May not be perfect but would get you close enough.

It's about settings, chat channels, etc. not the overview. CCP, be prepared for a big s***storm on June 30th when thousands of players lose their settings while forced to move to the new launcher not aware they need to manually(!) restore them before launching the game ...

thats how you copy your setting into he eve launcher form the old settings folder. Not that bloody hard. Use google next time
