Why not courier double wrap

When I haul gankable amounts I just use a web alt and instawarp.

I'm 95% sure you're a HS ganker just trying to get easy targets pushed through major pipelines

Double-wrap a Tayra load of microorganisms. Autopilot. Laugh when the gankers pop you for it.

I thought of this before but never got to trying to be ganked.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

Yea, that's what I was told. I'm damn good at webbing and indeed had triple webs, super fast lock and was all over my freighter the other day. Still Pointed and screwed. Webs are a bunch of hype, I got nailed anyway. Hence this rant and wondering why in the world haulers ever started this.

Kill mail was for 1.7bill ... I assume a loss or worthless to the gankers, but I was double wrapped.

I don't, I just don't put my haulers in a position to be ganked, it's really not that hard.

Now true, if you got everyone to do it you would be on to something, but as it is, it just makes you a more interesting target. So, anyone who signs up with your plan is putting themselves at more risk, not less, and you are unlikely to reach critical mass.
C'est la vie.

You probably are right, but its a shame we could not reach that critical mass, It would take a few willing to sacrifice some time and possibly some ships, over say a regular schedule of "burn single wrap" weekends to get the message out and try and grow that critical mass

Take blockade runners, who hesitates putting multiple billions in the cargo hold? Of course its partly because of how fast they are, cloakie etc. but a bit factor is they can not be scanned. It's a gamble a hisec ganker has to take as to if it will be worth it to attack.

One time I forgot to warp to my insta dock bookmark in my empty crane in jita, and it was alphaed off by a tornado. So it happens, and I can see on his killboard that he is still very active in jita popping bloackade runners. So I don't think double wrap will help anything. Gankers will gamble and hope for the best.

Well I'm all ears
Freighters should never travel without a web escort.
Industrials should never travel without using the MWD cloak trick unless they are a BR, in which case they dont need the MWD to stay safe.
Never undock or dock without an insta bm.

If you got caught doing the web trick, you weren't doing it right.

that's what I thought ... mwd trick only applies to br's in null/wh to get out of a bubble, which I'm also very good at. Great advice ..... not

Well you got ganked and I didn't so if you think it's bad advice that's fine.

That would be an awesome name for a bait ship.

I double wrapped because its a pita to double item exchange and I followed others advice that I would be safe with a webber. I had webbing down to a science, triple webs 22k range, utilizing fleet watch list for rapid one line targeting, always in range before decloacking, always using hot keying for webs. I'm very fast at this. Trust me a cepter will beat you and point you.

So yes, I'm back to single wraps, under 2bill, don't waste the pilot for webber, because it buys you nothing against a good gank fleet. I'm back to being dumb like the rest of the hauling community for doing this .... hence the op.

I'm willing to gamble, they don't have to ... I'm stuck to the status quo

Yes on a "burn single wrap" weekend, with 10 100 isk double wraps in every ship, that name on all of them would be awesome!

I'm all for a Pinata (gamble) no telling what is inside! It's no pinata at all with single wrap and basically undetectable scanning.

Who ganks for a profit today? As far as i read it's all about tears... there are tons of empty freighter ganks in high sec, so giving them even more targets is not gonna help your cause i am afraid :)

You're asking everybody to invest a little bit of effort to make hauling safer. Cheap and expensive loads (if it's just the ones worth a lot the endevour is pointless). But now under this system lazy haulers with not much have an incentive to not bother, if they don't double wrap then they'll be waved on through by the gankers, cause they know they have little, creating greater incentive to not double wrap and making a double wrap mean "gank me it's valuable".

It's a tragedy of the commons situation. The only way to keep the 'everybody double wrap' system in place is to provide disincentives, punishments as it were, to the haulers who undermine the system. If we could establish some kind of governmental body to enforce this hauler code of conduct, by force if need be (and few other options are available in EvE) then it could work.

There once was a ganker named tisi

There is nothing finer, cept when they get all pissy
