My eve launcher spams certification errors when I open it, as well as pops up links. I have all my anti virus and firewall updated, have deleted every eve file and reinstalled. Anybody else experience this?

I click on the eve launcher and immidiately this pops up:

A certificate error has occurred:

Server's certificate is not trusted

I have the option of selecting "Ignore" or "Cancel" clicking either closes the box but no eve launcher. This is the 2nd time this year I've been unable to play the game due to launcher problems, the last time I was unable to login for over 3 weeks. This best not happen again.

Same issue for the last day or so. Once the launcher came up first and I logged in, but usually the error comes up first.

I also tried uninstalling the client and reinstalling fresh. That didn't help.

I am receiving the same problem with Eve launcher. Now I am not able to play and there are no know fixes.

A certificate error has occurred:

Server's certificate is not trusted

This has now been three days I figure it would have been taken care of at this time.

i have had a very rough time tryingt o figure out how to make this work... i have uninstalled eve and re-installed after tryingt o use the original launcher.

now i've given up and am currently installing fresh with the old launcher.. as the old launcher works just fine. (but they are discontinuing it's use by june 30th)

however i cannot get the eve launcher to place a start menu icon, or even a desktop icon.. (even with fresh installs.)

CCP needs to seriously check all the crap they do before releasing it as an update.. so tired of paying for something that is always broke.

I've taken a pretty extreme step but I've completely restored my computer back to factory and now Eve works fine for me. Whatever went wrong had severely corrupted my computer as I tried everything and nothing worked.

reinstall the launcher, when it asks for download location add one to C:EVE Making it C:EVE1, delete the EVE1 file and reinstall everytime you close out the launcher, should only take a few minutes

I have flagged this for the Bug Hunters/CCP Devs to look into. Please file a support ticket for them to track it.

i temporarly fixed the issue by digging out a old deleted launcher from my bin.... tho it gives the same error Messages, but EVE does fires... for now. But still the issue needs to be resolved.

This appears to have been "fixed" for me... I no longer receive the error.

I did submit a ticket, but I am not clear if something was done for me specifically, or how the issue was resolved.

On my end I completely uninstalled everything Eve, and started fresh. Didn't help at all, but it was something I tried.

Someone please evemail me a screenshot. I will try to forward it internally to our bug hunters. No promises as I am not acting in a official compacity as this is outside my area of expertise.

Decided yesterday to update the launcher. Was a mistake. Sad

I'm getting certificate-error messages as soon as i start the launcher. Was hoping, they would go away or I'd find a solution once the program has started finally and clicked "ignore" ... and clicked ... and clicked about 30 times until it stopped. When it ended, I found the checkbox for it to ignore certificate errors, but the launcher doesn't update the game. It shows me a 16 MB or so update, but doesn't download it.

No program is supposed to run only when ignoring this kind of errors. I won't even try to actually start the game under this circumstances.

Deleeting everything and reinstalling Eve completely - even including the shared cache - didn't solve the issue. Reinstalling windows is NO option.

I've also been having the certificate error related to adglare.net.

As a workaround I've figured out a temporary solution by disabling the launcher UI, but still able to load profiles and play on different servers.

Open the properties of your EVE shortcut:
right click EVE shortcut > select "properties" > select "shortcut" tab > in the "target" box add the switch -d to the end of the file, example: G:\CCP\Eve\launcher\evelauncher.exe -d > then hit "OK"

Open EVE as normal with the shortcut and you will be presented with a disabled launcher UI but you will have an extra window where you can access your profiles for each server. Simply hit the "play on ..." to load ye olde login screen that we used to have and enter your username and password to play Eve.

Out of curiousity, after starting Eve with the method above a few times I removed the -d switch from the shortcut and the adglare.net error appeared intermittently. Doing this allows the game to be patched when needed.

My experience seems to be if the error dialog appears after the launcher window opens you can safely hit ignore and still access the launcher. Whereas if the error dialog appears first, the launcher window will not appear until you acknowledge the dialog, but then the launcher window appears for second or two and then closes itself down.

The error relating to the launcher closing itself seems to be related to an insecure request over a secure connection as below. The web error line below doesn't appear in the logs when the launcher appears before the certificate error dialog. The launcher log states:
