What a humiliation. I've taken a break from Eve, and at the time I left, I seem to remember Gevlon waging his own private war against the Goons. I just resubbed today and found out that the Goons are no more.

I couldn't believe it. Well done Gevlon!

Actually it had more to do with I Want Isk that it did with Gevlon. But still, he can claim a hand in the victory.

Though they've lost their space they aren't fully defeated yet. They haven't actually disbanded. Time will tell if they fall apart or if they rebuild.

There is some truth and some misconception in these statements. Goons are still around. Not many less than when you left. Only they hold considerably less sov. On the other hand Gevlon unsubscribed because despite all his rants against social behaviour he couldn't handle the unfriendly treatment by CCP Falcon. It's up to you to decide who won and who lost.

Also a big coalition funded by alleged RMT-dealers did bear the brunt of th fight while Gevlon-funded Mordus Angels did contribute. However, he correctly claims he was the first to prove that Goons were vulnerable and could be defeated by loads of ISK.

So there are plenty good arguments for and against your view.

Wrong, Low Sec Voltron was the first to prove goons could be beaten both through TISHUs blops campaign against SMA and the utter drubbing goons got when they tried to viceroy lowsec, as much as I like what MOA did they were annoying at best and irrelevant at worst.

Gevlon was just throwing a tantrum because Lenny accomplished more in three months than he'd managed in three years.
