We haven't been nearly so good about discussing current events as we have been in the past. Let's change that, shall we?

The latest Scope bulletin is full of news, as normal. Aside from the major focus, the ticker includes rather a few interesting subjects for discussion.

• Scope Galactic News Network confirms rumors of talks with Secure Commerce Commission regarding seccession from the Federation and establishment as an independent broadcasting body
• Directive Enforcement Department issues travel advisory and CONCORD CDIA report on new Drifter vessel identified as critical threat to interstellar shipping

The first item is interesting, as Home Guard is KK's police corporation. I wonder, then, if the suspects were Kaalakiota citizens?

Congratulations, of course, to Hard Knocks for the first deployed Fortizar. Impressive! There were images circulating on Galnet of twenty or so dreadnoughts deployed to defend its onlining.

Interesting bit on Scope going independent, but I'm not sure what more there is to say on that.

The Drifter vessel is, I assume, the Arithmos Tyrannos that has begun appearing in core wormhole systems. We've received reports that it is significantly tougher than previously-identified Drifters, but lacks a superweapon; I can only assume the energy used to power the superweapon was instead focused on vessel integrity systems. Considering the Drifter battleship now seems to take damage like a dreadnaught, well, that's quite the undertaking! ARC's planning an expedition to assess the threat of this ship; more news will follow.

I look forward to the coronation of the Empress Catiz I. Having been present at the succession trials, it's clear what a momentous occasion this is. Let us hope that this will be a singular event in our lifetimes, and her reign will be long.

You would think this would have been a bigger story.

Since my current home is in a system with a Jove Observatory and Seekers it begs the question, have these new ships appeared outside of wormhole systems yet? We generally tell our newbeans not to shoot at the Seekers, because who needs Drifters around mucking things up, right? If these new ships are going to pose a bigger problem, we might have to take additional steps.

Any further intel on the Drifter battleships and these new ships (size, configuration, numbers etc.) would be greatly appreciated.

Our enemies is indeed changing and advancing. Any information that can be provided should be given and new data must be secured if we are to weather this new threat.

I'm more concerned that Scope didn't even touch on the pirate corporations resent deployment of capital starships. News of which is still very scares.

Alternatively the suspects could just have been found on Kaalakiota corporate territory on NCP which would make the Home Guard the relevant arresting authority in the matter.

Do you think Home Guard will do this?

I'm not being sarcastic I'm genuinely curious, I not well versed on Home Guards behaviour.

Any word on how much firepower the new Drifter seems to have? In particular, whether it's sustained damage, or a burst of volley damage all at once? If I were in their shoes, it'd make sense to fit high-tracking, high-alpha weapons to quickly pop capsuleer frigates and cruisers, forcing us to commit heavier assets that are susceptible to the doomsday weapons their buddies possess. But I might be off-base here, just speculating.

In other news, Veikitamo looks stylish as always, and I love Makoto's top - is that color on the market now? Been thinking about switching up my look going forward.

Does Arithmos roam only in Anoikis or have there been sightings in k-space?

I remember being in an Algos-class destroyer and getting pulled out of warp by one can all drifters do this?

When i warped over to the anomaly and saw it i tried to escape and started up my warp drive but i didn't get far as when my computer said warp drive active I thought I could get away my guess is it's capacitors had just recharged and it just barely grabbed me before I got away my warp was disrupted
