So today i saw the ad for 10% off plexes in the launcher and went to have a look. The prices do make me wonder a bit though.

Current per plex prices if you buy bulk:
01 = 17.96 £
02 = 15,75 £
06 = 15,74 £
12 = 15,75 £
28 = 15,75 £

So there's no discount on bulk except the single plex where you get shafted. And bear in mind these are the discounted prices (17.33£ usual price (or 20£ for a single lol)).

Why would i pay 15.75£ when i instead could buddy invite a new account, sub it for 15£ and get a PLEX as reward? Then i'd also have a 51 days paid account for whatever.





(Other option is to vpn proxy and get those 14,35£ russian plexes)

If you really want something to get angry about - forget the whole "I deserve a bulk discount" price and think about the fact that CCP doesn't really convert those prices based on what currency you are using.

Meaning, you pay over ***50% MORE*** per plex at any volume than someone in, say, Canada pays for the same quantity of plex.

Why buy Plex with RL money to prolonging an account? Either subscribe (thats cheaper on RL Money) or buy it with ISK from other people. Buying it with cash yourself to keep an account running is a loosing game.

Since you can use in-game money to purchase the game play time, it's all a function of real time in game vs. not having time to play.

Those of us with limited play time just have to pay the piper and I'm on an annual subscription so that's the cheapest way regardless.

I am going to purchase a couple of PLEX just to have some fun money. I'm having more fun goofing off with the game and not worrying about ISK profit, so isn't that what I put in 40 hours of work a week for? Roof over the head, great internet connection, and wasting what little free time I have on EVE?

Exactly... I compare this to buying a 2 liter soda at a grocery store for $1.50 or getting it from a gas station for $2.25.

Why would I want to extend my game time 30 days by paying more for a "sellable" in-game item when I can earn that money with my $15/mo?

You go an look at the isk sellers in chat that randomly appear for 2bil isk for $25 (2 PLEX worth) and you wonder why CCP holds true to their prices when they create the currency and create the market....

Oh well, I am fine with grinding for my extensions, PLEX etc. I did see PLEX in Jita for 820mil for a good week though which was a killer deal. I bought 2 before they jumped back up to 960.
