Hello LAGL,

Hope everyone is doing good and Happy Memorial Day to USA players.

It took me almost 8 hrs to drive up to San Francisco area from Orange County yesterday afternoon. I got a room at Motel 6 in Pittsburg, CA. Spent a lot of time searching for a better Hotel but due to Memorial Day weekend there wasn't a lot of options available.

I got my gate badge today so now I'm all set to start work tonight. According to the QC Director it's suppose to be 12 hr shifts but could be 10 to start. From past experience I've found the office usually doesn't know what the schedule is in the field.

Anyway, at least I'm working, right ?

A few months ago my small team of ship-carpenters (mostly repairs on (luxury-) yachts) got a new manager.
It took him two weeks of completely messing up our work schedule before we went to speak to the company owner to set things straight.
Our work is highly irregular in hours, given the fact that the boats have to leave at a fixed time and we have to get the job done before that. Followed by slow days because there is little to do.
Well, apart from having extra time to spend with my wife and playing EvE. Both of which I don't mind at all. Big smile

A manager implementing a nine-five work schedule in our line of work..... interesting times.....Ugh


Oh, and good afternoon LAGL!

Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format. Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......
