Hello just curious is faction warfair fun and still viable?

Well i am new to eve online and i would like to understand pvp more as its more then just lock another ship and fire from what ive heard so before i jump in what should i be aware of also i hear faction warfair is a great way to learn pvp.

I'm not a PvPer but since you have not gotten a replay in several hours I'll pass on what I've read.

Faction Warfare can be good experience and also profitable. I am under the impression that if you do it for max profit then the experience side takes a hit and if you go for max experience then the isk side takes a hit. More precisely making good isk involves lots of running and becoming experienced involves buying replacement ships.

Also going solo is the hard way if you plan on fighting. Finding a good group of guys that you can fly with ( from what I've been told ) is the funner and easier way to learn.

FW player corps are not very trusting due to spies and all. However if you are active and willing to prove yourself you can get with a good group and learn the ropes.

Hopefully one of the more experienced FW guys comes along soon with better advice.

Faction warfare is great, and will only get better when links are fixed soon™

I highly recommend you join a FW corp even if you intend to fly solo. It's much easier to learn if you have people to talk to in real-time to bounce questions off of when you come up against new things (and the first several hundred fights will be that way).
