Are drones ever going to get some kind of loot that makes them worth spending time to kill the anomlies and sigs rather than ignoring them? As they are now its kinda not worth the trouble to clear them.

They used to have loot (drone goo - ahh, the good old days) but no bounties. Now they have bounties but no loot.

Imma go wayyy out on a limb and say "no."

Weren't they farmed to just a ridiculous extent prior to the change?

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

This was some time ago so my memory is a bit hazy, but:

a) iirc, drone region ruskies built a lot more stuff from repro'ed drone goo than ore, if they mined any at all.

b) I think (getting really hazy now) I remember in the dev blog leading up to the change it was mentioned that CCP simply wanted to remove this source of minerals because they deemed it superfluous and wanted to simplify things.

Gun mining. It was to kill gun mining. It was also, in turn, meant to encourage real mining and make it less laughably **** poor in mineral worth for someone's time and energy.

Arguably they have some of the highest ticks in the game for hardcore anom runners P

They've been trying to add more and better loot to the "boss" spawns, but I don't personally foresee the standard drones getting any real loot, at least not any time soon.
