My EVE

Okay so on another channel we had a lot of videos but they are 6-9 months old. So, we decided, instead of mixing these videos, we would create a channel that would 90% be dedicated to eve. Specifically, at getting new players into eve online by documenting everything eve has to offer with "how to" videos coming out of our ass.

What videos can you think of for us to do? on what? what subjects? etc

WE NEED YOUR HELP.

Some players will surely get ganked within their first month. In my experience, these will be the ones who Venture too soon into a 0.5 system in Highsec or who use skill injectors/PLEX injudiciously.

I'm not suggesting you make a warning video about these matters, though.

What I think might be nice is a video of a gank, from the victim's point of view. What you'll see, what you'll hear.

The first time it happened to me, in Lowsec, I was completely paralysed, and for long enough that my pod went west too.

Since it's certain to happen to some, it might be helpful to show what it's like - and what to do about it. This is not Advanced EVE or something esoteric; it's absolutely vital to retaining the few that might decide EVE isn't for them on the basis that they lost their ship (and/or pod).

On a lighter note, you should also definitely devote a whole video to the New Order of Highsec, and our activities. I can offer high quality audio support and light refreshment on the verandah.

Very immature response, our previous guide and videos have reached over 20k views in 4 months, so we are not crap video makers

As to your attack on Talladar, imho his videos are very informative and of high quality.

I didn't at any point say yours a crap videos, but quite frankly in response to your post, go **** yourself.

Well, if you wanted to help you could at least then have watched the videos on something that is able to watch them and then comment. Saying do it like Talladar without knowing how OP did the videos is pretty disrespectfull. And to the add hominem thing, I have seen you commit add hominems on these forums yourself (For example against Dracvlad), so get off you high horse. I think you are also the one admitting on these forums, you like to bait people like Dracvlad and Lucas Kell into responding to you, as the forums are too dull (correct me if it was not you). So don't whine if people think you are trolling. Try to be constructive, if you want to help.

I hope you're not addressing me. Despite appearances, this is my main. I don't regard membership of a player corporation as a necessity to my play style. When it does become necessary, or sensible, I'll act accordingly.

We seem to be veering away from the very important matter of providing new (or any) players with suitable material for their instruction.

I support any such initiative, and hope that contributors to the thread will read the original post and make suggestions in a helpful and friendly manner.

There is always going to be exemplary work in any chosen field. Should that invalidate the efforts of 'lesser' lights? I'm sure you don't think it should.

Encouragement needn't be insincere, nor boring. Intelligently applied, in this connection, it tends to increase the pool of available instructional material (which is no bad thing), and perhaps even to spur on the creator to ever greater achievement.

I would not have embarked on my own creative path in EVE had I allowed myself to be disheartened by the great work of folks like Jeff Raider and the Crossing Zebras crew.

Meh, watched part of your "Getting started" video and you suggested newbies to train lvl 5 gunnery immediately. That is a 2% Rate of fire increase for 4 days worth of training. Totally not worth it for a complete newbie. That fact that this is what you advised, shows me you probably don't have too much knowledge about the game and your advice can actually be harmful for a newbie.

Your attitude in this thread is also really not that great. You accuse people of being immature and Tallardars videos for being ego driven, but you show all these "qualities" yourself in this thread.

I wish you luck with your videos, but I'd advise any newbie out there to instead take a look at CCPs own tutorial videos. They are actually pretty well made.
