Hello.

First, just want you all to know that I'm playing this game for almost two years and not having the request I'm puting in here is disrupting my gaming experience.

I have a char that I only use for trading, since I have a lot of skill in this area I do a lot of transactions (well not that much as I wanted and this happens because of this same issue) the problem is that Market Orders Tab have a horrible UI and a lot of missing usefull information.

For now I have a hundred market orders, I want to have more but its already caotic to maintain more than 40 orders, imagine a hundred.

For those like me that plays like a trader and have some fixed markets with some fixed products its very hard to know when the products being sold in some place is gone, looking in transaction tab is the only way which is horrible to find such information.

Browsing in the most wanted ideas I have found an entire thread asking some other things, so I suggest we to rise again this discussion and ask more from the developers. Economics is a big deal in Eve and not having some information or not being able to fetch them in an easy way brokes the game play experience and makes trading very boring and annoying like a boring real job.

With my request I'm pretty sure the user game play experience with Trading will increase a lot.

So, what I suggest first is that in the Market Orders Tab when a product being listed have being all sold/bought it gonna still keep showing in the list, with a red color waiting for the user to mark as read/done, this way I can think "oh, this item I was selling in this place in this quantity and with this price is gone, now I know that so It'll be easy to buy it again and take there to sell again, when I arrive there with my products then I will mark it as read/done and life will continue organized :)"

Of course the order will be finished and will not count in the quantity of open orders, but it will be not flagged as done/read so it is still there as a reminder.

Really, this request is very usefull and kind of simple to be developed, believe me ;)

I'm really expecting some feedback, Its complicated to use a lot of spreadsheets to have this information (and updating them everytime is making the game to became a job).

I really am having trouble understanding your idea as posed. Could you perhaps describe it more clearly?

Sure!

Let me give you an example. I sell the same products in different markets/places, so I have like an store. But the problem is that its a lot of orders, like selling ammunition and salvage, so imagine, some times I take millions of missiles and projectiles and different kind of items from looting to sell, and I end with 80, 90 orders (or more!).

When I log again some other day in my char I have now 56 orders, that shows me 34 finished orders, so I want to place more item to sell on those place, or at least see where that happened, but I cant, because the order is ended and it doesn't show in the Market Orders list anymore....

hope this helped you to understand my request.

So the ability to view completed orders?

That I am willing to support fully. It already exists in the API and should be visible in the wallet UI.

Note: This is possible using the "transactions" tab but is immensely difficult and impractical when someone does large quantities of sales.

Exactly that, now you got it! The ability to view completed orders is a nice way to describing it

This feature will never gonna be implemented... there are a TON of threads, this is useless Sad

It is no longer "useless" to suggest small changes that improve the UI functionality. For the longest time this was true, but for now at least, these things are getting attention.

In the best of all worlds, it would be nice if we could select whether an order for an item would be retained after depletion when we are creating the order (the way we select order price, range, etc.). That way, a mission runner putting loot up on the market would not have to automatically crowd his Wallet Order Tab with depleted items, yet a trader could use this retention to track orders he routinely maintains the way you suggest.

However, that entails making changes to the Wallet Order Tab, and both of the create order windows, and making them all work together nicely. It may be simpler to just have the Wallet Order Tab retain the depleted order until the original order would have expired. In this way, the one-off sale could be kept from crowding the Wallet Order Tab by reducing the amount of time the order is active. Retaining the ability to cancel orders (active or depleted) from the Wallet Order Tab would allow additional management of these depleted orders. Doing it this way would only make changes to the Wallet Order Tab leaving the create order windows unmodified.

Not to hi-jack your thread, but also making a single click on the Wallet Order Tab bring up the Market View for that item (the way it works for items in the Quickbar), and allowing a double-click to open a modify order window (double click on Wallet Order Tab entry currently brings up a show-info window), would allow a trader to conduct all his routine order management from the Wallet Order Tab without right-click-selecting or duplicating routine orders in the Market Quickbar.

Well, what we are asking isn't something so big that could not be developed, but I have my doubts about how often these threads are seen by CCP felas.

Indeed isn't that difficult to implement this and thus is something very very important to trading.

I have a dedicated trading char, and to not loose track of my orders and items I sell I have to use an Excel Spreadsheet and this is very annoying specially because the spreadsheet needs to be updated by hand.

In my opnion, this is a must have in trading UI. I think many other things can be done too, but this is something that actually is very weird to not exist from the beggining.

Now, lets wait to see if something happen.

My thought on this topic would be for an enhancement to the Transactions list, where a check box or other visual representation denotes that a given transaction closed out the order for that particular item.

Yes, an Enhancement its all we need to that list.
