Paid 900 000 000 for a plex in Jita. Realised after I had purchased that the plex was at Terminus, 1 jump from Jita.

I know I should pay attention, but sheesh.

What is that? Where is that? Brings up no info on Terminus when I show info.

Find it under assets. You can use it from anywhere.

Maybe, just maybe, some notation in the market panels specifying STATION or (ugh) CITADEL.
A man's citadel is his castle. A woman's station is...I'm not going there.

These sorts of confusions are evidence the integrity and continuity of the game are compromised, btw. Cool

We do need to be able to set destination to a citadel from the market window, like we can with stations. Even if it only points you to the system the citadel is in rather than including the citadel itself at the end of the route.

Open your personal assets. It will list the locations where you have stuff. You can select the station where it's located then right click the PLEX and activate it from anywhere in New Eden. Do not transport PLEX in a ship!

You can also open your wallet, transaction tab - it will show who you purchased it from and where - not sure if the right click menu is available there and am not logged in to test..

1) It's a citadel
2) you're not in trouble, it'll work out just fine
3) do NOT move that plex, don't undock with it. Ever
4) open up personal assets via the neocom on the left, locate it, right click and apply. You can use them remotely.

i agree, all citadels in the market and asset window should show as "system name- citadel name" and allow you to set destination to that system.

At least you were purchasing the plex with plans to use it not trying to redeem plex you purchased with real money. I had a friend purchase 20 plex as a gift to himself and didn't pay attention to where he redeemed them in game. Turns out it was deep in null and he then spent the next few days transporting them one at a time back to HS to sell. Somehow he managed to actually make it without getting popped.

I think everyone has that eye-popping moment when they realize they just bought something somewhere other than where they'd thought they'd bought it. If by some miracle this hasn't happened to you (yet) it's still the best way to learn to check ALL those little details in that market panel...at least until you're confident you know your way around (which is when you start double-checking!) The hefty value of a PLEX, however, makes this lesson especially poignant.

I just bought a couple of plexes( real money) and sold one. I noticed an option while trying to remember this process that allows me to "unredeem" things. So assuming this works you could simply unredeem a plex go to the station you actually want to redeem it at, and reredeem it. I assume thats what this function is for that and if you redeem it on the wrong character. No need to ever transport the plex in game even if its not at the station you want it at.
