Good thing I've done neither of those things. I've been here having a discussion then you've come around lobbing insults and attacks at me because you have no counterpoints.

You have to admit that the list of things you're incredibly salty about is growing inexorably.

I just tried to write a list of things I'm salty about and ended up with an empty sheet of paper. The list of things I have opinions about is massive though.

Sometimes I wonder if some of you take this game too seriously if you think people are getting upset over it.

Ah yes, the time honoured NO U rebuttal. As elegant and effective as Cato's speech detailing the habits and corpulence of Hannibal's mother.

If it were a "no u" rebuttal then I would have said you were salty. I didn't, so it's not. I simply pointed out how seriously one must take the game to consider any and all negative opinions as tears. Believe it or not, many people can actually hold opinions without the high levels of emotional involvement required to lead to tears.

It's more the overall pattern. Almost every single opinion you voice is negative, so it comes across very much as salt. Lots of salt.

Whether that is what you intend or not, it's the strong message that comes through simply because your opinions rarely if ever say anything positive; and those that do (eg. Generally about nerfs to certain play) are always in the context of how it's great because screw other play styles, which also just comes across as negative.

So yeah. Pretty much salt.

The force of the bitter vet is strong on Eve forums.

That may be because CCP seems to have lost interest in their official forum.

Eve-O forums: Dark and pretty in keeping with the spirit of the game. Like the game, a haven away from the chittering abuse of the Infotainment Supertoilet.
Reddit: Ugly, basically an organised version of the conversations people used to scribble on loading dock walls and the back of bathroom doors, same hateful idiocy shouting down anything it can.
Yeah reddit has a broader range, but it can get noisy and poisonous.

Clearly you don't read enough of my opinions. Again though, negative opinions are not the same as salt. And at the end of the day, no matter how positive the opinion, someone will find it negative to them. If you want to sit around going "oh the salt!" feel free, but understand that when you're talking to someone that's not actually upset it doesn't have the effect you are aiming for.

That may be because CCP seems to have lost interest in their official forum.

Why keep it then? It seem stupid there is a must to be an active player to post here and in the same time get no info on o-forum because all devs are posting on reddit. Seriously something is wrong here. If devs want a reddit here, remove ISD and forum lock.

If ISD are what keep this forum from being used, then that means it would only be used badly. Seriously, if you have a problem with the moderation here then the problem is yourself, not the forum.

I don't have problem with moderation, but something is wrong when devs are posting more on unmoderated reddit. I've opened few topic there and there's a few devs that I've never seen on o-forum. What is the purpose of official site when actuall discussion is going elsewhere? "we want feedback about this feature" thread abbadoned, discussion moved on reddit...

Correlation does not imply causation

You're looking at 2 things:

1) devs don't post much on official forums
2) ISD

One isn't caused by the other.

It would be silly to assume devs don't bother posting on o-forum because their post are moderated by ISD Big smile

Still, forum is dead, I know one dev that actually bother to post here, read feedback, discuss with us and writing about what or were he see feature that he working on (no it's not Rise or Fozzie). I'm aware they are busy and don't have time to spam posts, but players are getting ignored here. If they don't agree with feedback (devs) or see it the other way it would be good to post it here not the reddit. If they don't why do they expect cultured discussion, it's one side post spamming. Threadnaughts usually ends with players insulting one another.

I prefer r/Eve because ridiculous attention whores like Lucas Kell don't get to shove their bitter opinions down everyone's throat

and that right there illustrates the issue with redid (****off i cant spell in the morning)

at least lucas gets to have an opinion here without feeling like hes being ostracized or told to go kill himself

I hate the fact the developers are more active on Reddit. Personally, i can't stand reddit as it just reads like the youtube comment section but if there are things that make it better than the official forum, then CCP should be trying to incorporate things that would make it better.

on topic, i don't see this overwhelming support on reddit that you speak of...

So incredibly mad. And I do get to have opinions there, I just have to choose which account to post it on so I have the correct name and flair for the situation.

Ralph's pretty much covered the solid response to that comment, but remember, if you want to opt out of seeing my opinion here there's a "hide posts" button.
