Fits for daily SP

As you might know, I'm not a new player. Far from it. But I'm posting here hoping for essentially new player advice.

See, I have two accounts and I'd like to complete dailies on both of them. On one I'm more than covered. On the other...

Well, this is what I'm starting from:

Basic armor skills
Drones 5
DI 5
Perfectly fine capacitor-related skills
Gunnery 2
Small Energy Turret 3
Good navigation skills
Rigging skills all 4 or 5
Basically no shield skills
Amarr frigate through battleship 3 (plus Amarr industrial 5 if someone wants to throw lol fits at me)

So. I need to kill a belt rat a day, probably in BR space. If I wanted to accomplish this with minimal effort and minimal additional training, how would I best go about it?

Two ideas so far:

[Dragoon, VB daily farmer]
Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste
Prototype Armor EM Hardener I
Prototype Armor Thermal Hardener I
400mm Rolled Tungsten Compact Plates

5MN Microwarpdrive II
Drone Navigation Computer I

Drone Link Augmentor I
[empty high slot]
[empty high slot]
[empty high slot]
[empty high slot]
[empty high slot]

Small Capacitor Control Circuit I
Small Capacitor Control Circuit I
Small Capacitor Control Circuit I

Acolyte I x5

Requires training Drone Navigation 3, Drone Avionics 3, and Light Drone Operation 1.

[Punisher, daily]
Small Armor Repairer II
Tracking Enhancer I
Tracking Enhancer I
Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste
Extruded Compact Heat Sink

1MN Afterburner II
Eutectic Compact Cap Recharger

Small Focused Modulated Pulse Energy Beam I, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Small Focused Modulated Pulse Energy Beam I, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Small Focused Modulated Pulse Energy Beam I, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Small Focused Modulated Pulse Energy Beam I, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S

Small Capacitor Control Circuit I
Small Capacitor Control Circuit I
Small Capacitor Control Circuit I

Requires training Weapons Upgrades 1 and Energy Grid Upgrades 2.

Any other ideas?

(And yes, for the record, I feel utterly silly asking this question. Hopefully some actual new players get something out of the discussion.)

A rookie ship can fly to a highsec belt and pop a rat. So basically, any fit works for the daily SP.

Not sure what "BR space" is. If it's in null, just use whatever fit you usually use for nullsec ratting.

You can kill a belt rat in .9 or 1.0 space in a rookie ship. So anything with any weapon of any type will work. im using the SP to skill up an alt. I use a navy slicer on him which is more than overkill.

On my hauling account I use a rifter with 3 200mm autocannons, a small nosferatu, small armor rep, EANM, cap recharger, web, afterburner, and 1 of whatever the projectile upgrades are called. I only had to train 1 skill to level 1 to use the nos. It kills 0.5 belt rats really easy. Don't even need to turn the rep on.

Unless they changed it while I was gone there's no such thing. Belt rats don't spawn in higher than 0.7 last time I checked.

Blood Raider I assume.

I was dramatically overthinking this. It's been something like 10 years since I killed high sec belt rats. They really are pushovers and anything would do.

Pretty much, that being said HVO rigged interceptor would be the most efficient.

A rookie ship can fly into the rookie tutorial area and shoot the NPC that's teaching newbies how to shoot their guns. There's about 6 of them per rookie system and they spawn immediately, no need to wait like in belts.

I saw "dailies" and was ready to rip the OP an new one and tell him to go back to WoW. I'm guessing by everyone's responses that he did not misspeak?

Are there really "dailies" in Eve now? and if so are they some how related to Skill Points?

Also is today April first?

First post was right around then. Gotta venture out of NCQA every now and then. Blink

CCP have added a "daily opportunity" The first rat ship you pop per day awards you 10,000 unallocated skill points (once per account I think). It went live yesterday.

Hi Zhilia,

For the past few weeks I've been using a Blockade Runner - Prowler - to gather up years and years worth of collected assets from Exploration, Cosmos and Epic Arc sites that are stored in various stations located within 21 different Regions.

Yeah, a lot of assets to collect requiring a lot of jumping to be done.

Anyway, I have my Prowler set up as a shield buffer tank, boosted resists and Covert Ops cloak of course. However the fit is mainly focused on speed and agility since I use it to travel through all system security levels. Instead of fitting a Salvager module in the extra high slot, I went with 1x Dual 180mm Autocannon II to hopefully help escape if tackled on a gate by a PvP Frigate. I probably should fit up some sort of EWAR Target Breaker mod or something along that line but I digress.

To make a long story short, while traveling through a 0.7 security system I decided to swing by an Asteroid Belt and collect on the Daily skill points. I warped in to '0' range to see 2x Sansha rats about 15km away, targeted them, set range to 10km and within minutes quickly destroyed both with Barrage Ammo.

Even though I have high skill level my transport ship isn't set up for combat. It's purely defensive, only one gun on it with no DPS or Tracking enhancing modules. Those high sec belt rats popped rather quickly. I'll bet a couple of T1 Scout Drones could probably do the same.

In my opinion the fits you posted are more than capable to quickly knock out a high sec belt rat.

I'm willing to bet just docking up in a station for a rookie ship is enough assuming you are looking for a belt rat. literally 0 ISK investment for a 10k SP reward..

Realloy wish CCP would make it require actual effort to get the reward.. Say, make them weekly and require more than 1 npc...
