Missile based race?

I know that caldarians have the most missiles based ships, but if i want to make a new character that has more injected sp in missiles then gunnery is caldarai the way to go? im looking at specializing in stealth bombers and a few missile frigates. And that gives me no reason to have any gunnery skills implemented.

Caldari ro is there any other blood line that starts whit missile skills?

Erm ... all races & bloodlines start with the same skills, other than racial frigate and racial turret.

Caldari or to a lesser extent minmatar. Amarr use missiles on about half their T2 ships, but not on T1. As far as SP goes I think they made it so characters start with the same skills except the frigate and turret lv3 being based on race.

Ya. Like other's have said the skills that you start with that are racial specific are not even worth considering. Be the race that you like and fly the ships that you want. They need not be the same.

If you want to stick with purely missile boats it would not hurt to broaden out. As has been pointed out the Minmatar and Amarr both have some missile boats. The breacher is actually a really great ship. Also you never know when you will have want or need to try other stuff down the road.

Further if you want to get into fleet stealth bomber stuff it helps to be able to fly them all since everyone pretty much needs to be flying the same one if you are doing fleet bombing runs.

OP... my advice is not to worry and to train up your current character.

The reason I say this is because the amount of skillpoints you start off in any specific skill focus is equal to that of a few hours to a day or two worth of training.

Basically... re-rolling is not worthwhile in EVE unless you highly value your character's look/race/starting system.

At least with your current character, you may have some support skills (see: skills that affect all ships) already trained. Cross training is a thing here and you suffer no penalty or miss out on any bonus by having skills that are "off-race."

Amarr do have some T1 ships that can use missiles. Magnate (T1 frigate), Dragoon (T1 destroyer), Arbitrator (T1 cruiser), Prophecy (T1 battlecruiser) and Armageddon (T1 battleship) can all mount missile launchers. Most of these T1 ships are drone boats so they have fewer high slots compared to other T1 Amarr ships of the same size, and none of them can mount missile launchers in all of their high slots. eg: Dragoon has 6 high slots but can only fit 3 missile launchers, compared to the T1 Coercer destroyer which has 8 high slots and can fit lasers in all of them.

If someone wants to go for missiles as their main weapon, Caldari are the #1 choice, Minmatar are #2. The T1 Amarr ships that can fit missiles are mostly drone boats with missiles as a secondary weapon. There is an Amarr stealth bomber which has missiles as it's main weapon, but it's T2 like all the other stealth bombers.

I can stick autocannons on a thorax, but that doesn't make it a projectile ship. The magnate is for exploration and shouldn't even be in combat. The rest are drone and E-war bonused, or drones and links in the case of the Prophecy. The ships that actually have a missile bonus are Khanid T2.

There area few things here that you may be missing.

Incorrect information is incorrect information and since many players can and do look through these forums for information there is value in correcting inaccurate or incorrect information even if the OP has bio-massed.

Even if the character was bio-massed does that mean that the person who actually posted this in not looking in on this with another character?

And then there is the whole aspect that some people just like a topic and want to continue the debate long after the OP has left.
