Modding is whole new level and its quite impossible to do in MMO like EVE. I am thinking of something more like Star Trek Online Foundry. My topic also has nothing to do with PvP. PvP does not need help in EVE, it is very much alive and thriving and most importantly it is getting support of developers constantly. This is not PvP vs PvE. The topic is about how can we make mission experience better.

Even PvE relates to PvP. When you sell loot, salvage, or faction items bought with LP on the market, you are directly competing with other players for the isk value of the stuff you're selling.

I left STO long before the Foundry was introduced, but I do remember Neverwinter's player made content. Invariably you had one of two types of player made content. You had missions that we're nearly impossible for parties of high level characters that gave crap for reward, or you had content that was little more than walk through/talk to people that gave absurdly high rewards. Not sure if that was ever fixed in Neverwinter, because it was the reason I stopped playing, and I've not bothered to go back.

Now, knowing the playerbase of EvE like I do, I can almost guarantee that any player made missions will fall into the same two categories as Neverwinter's content did, mostly on the side of stupidly easy for an absurdly high payout. The only way to prevent this from happening would be for someone from CCP to go over each and every single mission before it's introduced into the game, something I just don't see anyone there wanting to do. Without this, it would be virtually impossible to balance the risk/reward.

Personally, I'd have my alts make me missions with a few dozen 1mil+ isk bounty battleships (spaced far apart or coming in waves), or even nothing but faction battleship spawns if possible, and have them give out the highest possible isk/LP reward. I would run these all day long in my Golem with zero risk.

Not just in EVE where people would exploit high rewards easy kills given chance Big smile That is why in my main post I said that it needs to be checked by CCP and perhaps moved on test server. Myself and few others also stated that it might be daunting task for CCP to regulate so that remains hard nut to crack. My thoughts were just about player created missions, the layout and whats happening in there. Leaving CCP set reward payoff.

Ah NWN, you wouldnt happen to play on presistant world Anchordeep by chance? Good times there. NWN easy loot for no effort is just what happens in every game given chance. Thus the regulation by devs or server owners.

Thank you for everyone who shared their thoughts. Blink I will let this topic now fall into oblivion. Bear

There are many examples from other games where game wasnt doing that well and suddenly someone creates something with tools devs provided and fast forward to present day its most popular thing in gaming industry.

Name one.

I've been gaming for 30 years, and I can't think of a single instance in which this has occurred. Granted, it is 4:40 in the morning, and I just got up, but still.....

One could say that the dude who created the first DOTA map did something relatively close to that.
