So I've been playing on and off and I still haven't found a place for me.

I know I love PvP, but I don't really enjoy the way it's been carried out?

I tried FW, fly in my t1 frig, there is a Navy/pirate ship = GG or Run.

Tried roaming, but hours looking for someone I'm able to fight in my frig isn't fun gameplay.

I haven't tried null yet but I don't imagine it would turn out much better.

I may consider joining RvB, maybe frig duels is how I want to play? I just don't see the charm in either you've got the advantage or the other guy does. There's no test of actual skill and control?

IDK, I'm drunk.

the only problem here it's you.
you have to find the content for yourself not wait that the content come to you.

t1 frigates don't work becouse they lose against anything else? then switch to t2 frigates, pirate frigates, destroyer or cruiser.
i count 42 class of ships: it only dependes on you.
obviously if you want stay with t1 frigates... well you can always kill rats in high sec Cool

Have you tried joining a fw corporation or alliance? There are quite a few out there that are new player friendly. You could also join this war going on in Nullsec and you'll get plenty of action one way or another. Imo though I think there is a ton of action in the Amarr vs Minmatar side of fw, or at least there was the last time I tried it. You might have better luck also heading over that way, and also joining a fw corp.

Arriving with the advantage and not being there when you don't is a skill.

Try NPC null like syndicate with ships that's a bit more powerful, you can get some pretty fun fights!

Unortunately, being capable of solo PvP takes 20+ million SP.

This statement is BS, you can solo PvP at day 4.

OP, burn through some cheap ships to learn the region and the other ships you will be facing, then after that you shouldn't lose too many ships if you choose your fights carefully.

Look up Spectre Fleet. They have some T1 doctrines and do all kinds of roams.

When this began I had nothing to play, and I got lost in the nothingness inside of me. I was confused, and I let it all out to find that I'm not the only person with these things in mind inside of me. But all that they can see the words revealed is the only real thing that I've got left to feel. Nothing to lose, just stuck, hollow and alone and the fault is my own and the fault is my own.

You should look into 0.0 alliances. Usually 0.0 alliances have a mix of types of pvp. Fleet pvp, various size gangs/roams. members tend to be more inclined to form roams and stuff. Many/most also now take newbros. Good place to learn core pvp.

though ive never done it, i hear good things about RVB as well. It may fit your play style better than a sov alliance. The ship you fly doesnt matter as much as how you fit it and fly it. Experienced skilled pvpers can get a lot more out of a t1 ship than a new player. Thus it makes it seem like your in the wrong ship or you have a very limited list of ships you can take. It is very much how you fit it and fly it that matters.

Core skills are the most important. Once you get your core skills up its gets easier to fit ships, you can start using a lot of t2 mods and you will notice a good increase in performance.

Except fancy manual piloting, I agree there's limited test of skill in 1v1s, if you mean the hand-eye-coordination kind.

Solo in EVE is a test of:

. Wits (knowing when to engage and where aka positioning. don't underestimate the maneuvering before the fight to duel on your terms of range and location)
. Balls (the shakes are real, if you can stay calm and aware you have a big advantage)
. Knowledge of game mechanics, ships, modules, fits

May or may not be your cup of tea.

I found the forums actually helped me find a community. I couldn't find a corporation to fit with. I started a small corporation, with few characters, but that's allowed me to find another layer to the game. Eve Radio is also a great chat channel to make space seem less empty.

Not sure it's a skill or not but it's definitely tactics. That's why my advice to my friends is that if you are being targeted, leave immediately. It means the player targeting you thinks they have a good chance of winning. I realize it's not always true, but it's true often enough to make it a valuable counter strategy.

This game, like most other MMO's, have a LOT of emphasis on first attack being an advantage. The only way to mitigate this is to have a hidden ace up your sleeve and there aren't many ways to accomplish that.

I am not advocating that every pilot is equal or that ship fittings are either, just that when you have a good pilot with a good ship launching that first attack, the favor swings in that pilots way right out of the gate. The opposing player must be good enough with a good enough ship to make up the difference.

Get your T1 frigate, fit for scram kiting, go into 0.0. Expect to lose a lot of ships but you'll get some kills, those make it worth it (frigates are cheap so it really doesn't matter if you lose a few) and you can be entertained even when you lose.
