Thanks all, I guess it's the Mechariel. Even if I want to use it to clear everything, at least at the beginning until I am comfortable with L4 missions.

Long term I will look towards a marauder, probably the Paladin. But that is still a long way off due to skills.

Of course I will train shield skills as well, but if I can postpone them for a while I can focus on better support skills first, I have most of them on 3-4 but I prefer to have most of them higher.

Also don't fall into the trap of "I have to be cap stable!!" Fit the mach with an X-L deadspace booster and just pulse when needed.
