Doing PI after support ticket submitted?

I had to submit a support ticket because two of my factory planets instantly consumed half of my output when I tried to transfer the material from the planet to the launchpad, and the third copy the contents of my storage silos into my launchpad and wiped out everything that didn't fit in the launchpad afterwards. While waiting for a response can I try other things with the planets or move what resources are left off and delete them to open up space to try something else?
