An Idea for Wormhole Space

So I was quite bored and went back to watch some of the old intro videos for eve. And in one of them, it showed a structure inside of the eve gate forcing it to stay open. This made me wonder, will there ever be a structure that players can build in wormhole space that would make a wormhole connection permanent. It could be a structure with a vulnerability timer like the citadels and there could be a limit as to how many of these gates could be built in each wormhole space. What are some thoughts on this? Would it be a bad thing to add to the game or would it make wormhole space more interesting?

Drifters are already doing this, so I think CCP has something up their sleeve, but I don't think it will affect all wormholes.

It is right beneath your ship randomly exploding and Concord in all types of space.

I think it would be more interesting...

As long as they were easily destructible, it could be a good conflict driver. The biggest issue would be the fact that it would allow people to dominate through numbers, if they use small ships to overcome mass limits.

The wishlist is pretty much complete...

At fanfest i bed the guy next to me $50 that within 10 minutes someone would suggest this. He agreed and didnt take the bet.

9 minutes and 35 seconds later someone asks if we can have "lifetime increases" that make Whs last longer, and regen their mass.
