Yeah, obviously you didn't comprehend my posted reply. This thread is about Recurring Opportunities giving free skillpoints daily, not about KB stats.

FYI - I don't care about killboard stats, never did and never will. I didn't sub to this game for PvP anyway. Exploration videos by an Eve character named DNightmare is what inspired me to join this game.

As for Risk v Reward, I take plenty of risk traveling through low and null sec space in a clone with +5 Attribute Implants. My reward is faster training time and I've always accepted the consequences of my actions in-game.

By the way, there's a lot more to this game than just KB crap.

So just another forum poster who expects every single feature added to the game to revolve around their play style or they throw a fit, got it.

Wow, you definitely lack reading comprehension. I do PvE and even though this feature of Recurring Opportunities fit's in with how I play the game, I still don't like it. You're either really dense or just a failed troll.

Heh, another Doofus who doesn't know the difference between a signature and initials. Gotta say lately the level of trolling in this sub-forum has really gone down in quality.

Hopefully you can understand this - Initials make it a bit more personal whereas a signature is overly formal.

Also this is just for you :

For someone who doesn't PvP, you sure do love your name calling. You should try it man and release some of that anger, you might just enjoy it.

What angers me about this is less the mechanic than the reason given for introducing it. For the last three years, CCP and I have had an agreement: they provide me with an interesting game, and I pay a subscription. But now, it turns out that my money isn't good enough for them: if I'm not logging in and killing a rat every day, I'm a second-rate customer.

That's unfortunate. Because I really don't like being told how I should be using my time. I have a full-time job and a life. If CCP resent that fact because it means that I don't show up every 24 hours to drive their unlikely spaceships around in their implausible universe, then it's time our ways parted.

What are you talking about, Doofus is a term of endearment.

Don't know why you're so fixated on me not doing PvP. I had a look at your KB stats and quite frankly you have no room to talk.

Dragging a skill into the queue, clicking 'apply' and then waiting is hard work?

Does not compute.

For years you had to stay up in the middle of the night to change your skill or manage them really carefully to not lose training time. Then we got a 24h training queue which made it a lot more convenient but you still had to plan ahead and make sure you are able to login before the last skill ran out.

This days you have no limit and you can just fill in 10 years of skills, click apply and do something else. But for the longest time in EVE history training skills was not just "click apply and then wait".

Yes, the skill Injector and crap like this new daily missions seriously take a dump on the effort people spent for years to accumulate their precious SP.

I personally think this idea is horrible, especially because it is limited to PvE. This would have been a great opportunity to set more incentives to take a risk and not just kill a single rat. I know they say they are just starting with this and there is more to come. They said the same thing for the original opportunities, look how much they added... I believe it when I see the change in the patch notes.

Anyway, since I abused the skill injectors to pay for all my ganker accounts (Gank chars only need a limited amount of SP) now I will still be able to train for the occasionally needed skill to compensate for the next nerf which is probably just around the corner.

Ah, you meant all that pointless fiddling about you did in the past. I thought you meant now because you said 'train' not 'trained' in the post I responded to.

I sympathise, I can see how it must be a bit like this has lessened the importance of skill train min-maxing, but it's not the first time they've streamlined SP attainment. A lot of people, me included, trained the learning skills way back when, and doing that was in retrospect pointless too.

I think the best way to look at it is that it's probably going to be a nice little extra boost for new players and not hugely important to high-skilled players, except for those individuals who feel bizarrely obliged to do dailies in order to keep up in an imaginary race with the optimal SP progression curve.

"You see mate, I'm just that dense factory worker, with reading problems. My education was stopped years ago so that poncy brother of mine could go to the Federal Academy and learn to fly all those fancy ships I make him.

Hope is on the horizon for me, opportunities to re-enter education and possibly do more than staring at these factory walls. But no, we have these posh boys who spend 90% of there time in their Captains Quarters, studying, already having more education than they'll ever need, objecting.

The working class people will rise, no longer shackled by our limited education. Stop objecting, embrace change for a better New Eden"

What a brilliant idea..... why has no one thought of this??? If they do this, I pinky swear I will not kill one of my alts sitting in one of the free ships everyday Twisted

bth a free noobship is still less reward than killing a rat, and you have to log 2 accounts

You could make a business out of it: Shoot my alt for 50.000k. No search for the rats or players just undock and blap 10.000SP.

But there are now less skillpoints around then before extractors and injectors. At least that´s what i think.
Because you extracted 500k but only 300 - 400k getting injected (at least i know some people that injected abofe 5.5m)

Yeah, exactly. I haven't used skill injectors and never will. Likewise, I don't won't the "free" skill points.

However, ..... how else will they retain the subs of the immediate gratification crowd?

The skillpoints you train so hard for? You put them in a queue and wait, that's it, their is no effort whatsoever. Pay your sub, queue, and wait, zero effort. Please point out the hard work you speak of.

Even in the past with no queues it took an alarm and under a minute to change a skill then back to sleep. It took more effort to get a drink of water in the middle of the night. People saying they stayed up all night to change a skill are being overly dramatic or didn't have an alarm.

At least the recurring opportunities will add a little bit of effort, maybe that's why people don't want it? Well it's happening so I would get used to it. The ratio of entitlement to skillpoint has been drastically lowered and thank you ccp for that.
